Brownies, to me, are their own food group. Not too sweet, not too rich… just right. There’s a certain technique when it comes to making them; balancing the dry with the wet ingredients so when it’s done you get this fudgy center and crackly top. That to me is the perfect brownie. Fillings and toppings are semantics. Sure they enhance it but give me just a small brownie cube and I’ll be your best friend. But I warn you though for I am a true brownie snob. This is where the Princess Tiara is put on, I sit on my pedestal and my ‘snootiness’ comes across.. LOL hardly! Well okay, I do have a Princess tiara but that’s a whole ‘nother story *wink*
I offer up various flavors and types of Brownies and Blondies. Let me side step here a minute. I DO NOT consider a ‘Blondie’ a Brownie. Brownies are chocolate. Blondies are well, not! That’s like saying pre-made pie crusts are just as good as homemade. Um.. NEGATIVE! *shudder*
