Happy Sunday TKW Family! Man this week just flew by! I was super busy in the test kitchen and I cannot wait to share some of the amazing recipes I came up with. I’m working on a few more sponsored posts as well as an upcoming Facebook only giveaway (trust me, you’re going to LOVE this!!!). Speaking of awesome, did you see the post I did for Ragu pasta sauce and their story of how it came to be? Also did you see the AWESOME Food.com and Ragu recipe contest as well??? $3000 grand prize folks! That would make one AMAZING Christmas!!!
So I had my first digital recipe cookbook done and went to publish it…and I hated the way it looked. I decided to go the easy route and use PowerPoint to create it, save it to PDF and then publish it in various formats. Thing is, it’s super simple but I hated the way it looked. So I took 4 hours on Friday night, read a ton of articles from Adobe, watched god knows how many Indesign videos and was able to create my own template. It’s SO much cleaner and easier to follow. I’ll be honest, it wasn’t easy but I’m really proud of myself on learning this application. So hopefully soon I’ll start publishing some digital cookbooks.
This upcoming week is going to be chaotic to say the least. Do you remember our being in that car accident last December? We both ended up with almost identical shoulder surgeries – I had my rotator cuff surgery in March and he in May. Unfortunately we both still had major pain. Well I was supposed to have my 2nd surgery this Friday (the 13th) however I wussed out. However since Mr. Fantabulous is still in pain too, the dr did another MRI and found a tear on his bicep tendon so he’s going in this Friday in my place. However the dr. said I am still having my surgery in December. Someone want to come and help us make cookies for the holidays?
We’ve been super, SUPER busy on the house. We did plaster every night for a good 4-5 hours and we also sanded a bunch of wood that was around the windows. I actually was allowed to use power tools! SWEET!!! In the test kitchen I got to test out a few new products. My latest love of the week is:
All-Clad PC8 Precision Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker
Folks you all know I’m in love with Pressure Cooking. This stovetop pressure cooker takes the guess work out of pressure cooking to ensure the perfect cooking results. This 8.4-Quart stovetop pressure cooker provides easy to use technology for precise results. There are four specific cooking programs specially pre-programmed to ensure success for all recipes. A two-part cooking process optimizes flavors and texture. The easy to set “smart timer” automatically notifies you when pressure has been achieved and released, along with audible sounds when each step is done and once your meal is ready.
It’s not like your Mom’s or Grandma’s pressure cooker where the lid would blow off and food would go everywhere. It’s safe and amazing! But I’ll be posting more about that in a future recipe. However this is a must, MUST add to your holiday wish list!
