Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Creamy Chicken & Salsa Pinwheels and Meatball Stuffed Manicotti!

Happy Sunday TKW Family and Happy 4th of July weekend! First and foremost, THANK YOU to those of you that serve or have served in our military. It is because of your selflessness that my family and I are free from harms way. Thank you for your service. You are loved, honored, respected and appreciated. May God bless you, keep you safe and bring you home soon to your families.

So I’m not going to lie, I kind of didn’t realize it was the holiday weekend until my girlfriend sent me a text asking if I was up to go over their house for a cookout for the 4th. Other than extreme boredom and the inability to do squat while my shoulder heals, I lose track of time. My sleep schedule is so whack it’s not even funny. I mean I’m not sometimes falling asleep until 4am and then only catnapping til 8. I blame it on the recliner.  How people can actually sleep in them is beyond me.

I wish I had more exciting things to share but honestly I don’t. Being house/recliner bound is not as luxurious as it sounds. I’ll try to help out Mr. Fantabulous as best as I can but my contribution is rather bleak. Instead I go and sit with him while he works on the house. Last week he got 4 more doors stained and hung. Oh guys you should see them!  They are absolutely gorgeous!  Once he finishes up putting up the trim and such around it I’ll post a pic. The work he does truly is amazing.


Oh so I do have a funny story. Last week I said I wanted to go grocery shopping. Mr. Fantabulous and I go to Walmart. As we walk in he asks if I want a motorized cart. I chuckled and said “No, I can walk besides I can’t steer with one hand.” While I wanted things like arugula, cilantro, bananas and a single dark chocolate bar for me somehow I managed to come home with the following.

2 boxes of Belvita toasted coconut bars
1 jumbo Hershey bar
1 box Boston baked beans
1 box milk duds
1 Family size box Lucky Charms
1 dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts
1 box XL granola bars
2 pounds dark cherries

Annnnnd I eat none of the above… I think this is payback for all those times Mom took me shopping when I was a kid and I would beg for something and make a scene (cry or pout BIG TIME). However Mom was a rock. She almost never budged and gave in. I, on the other hand, am a softie. Here’s the thing, if he had a problem (health/weight) I would say something however he’s in perfect health (knock on wood) and works hard labor. The man doesn’t gain an ounce (hate him). Plus *some* of those items will last more than 3 days in my house. But dear God, to have his metabolism…I’d kill for it.

So for me I’ve decided while I’m home that I’m going to learn how to make food videos. I mean I know how to make them but more so learn how to edit them in software other than iMovie or MovieMaker. Those are ok but I want professional looking ones. So I’ve been watching videos for now until I can start using my other hand/arm.

Anyway peeps I should get going. I need to get some breakfast and try to do something with my hair. Have an amazing week!
