Yeah that’s a total mouthful to say but it’s so worth it!  With Christmas next week (… and no,, I haven’t even started shopping yet), most people are pretty much planning what they can eat and well, ‘get away with’ before 90% of them start their ‘New Year’s’ diet resolution.  Hey, I’ve done it.  As long as you get back on ‘the horse’ it’s all good. Since I’m pretty particular about what I eat and eat a high protein diet, I teamed up with the SI03 the makers of the most AMAZING protein powder, Syntrax Protein Powders I have been able to sustain my diet with the help of their proteins in my daily food intake.  Every Friday I’ve been giving you all types of dishes on how to go past the shake and include their powders into your foods both savory and sweet.  To celebrate Christmas I wanted to go all out.  I really wanted to push the limit.  See in my family, cheesecake is a MUST for Christmas.  Now I’ll make Mr. Fantabulous his traditional NY style one but for me, I’m totally going for this protein packed one.  It’s so unbelievably delicious!  I mean even my New York food snob husband loves it!  Actually he ate all of his AND mine the last time I made it!

Day 13 – Countdown to Christmas Protein Packed Turkey Arugula Gouda Panini

It’s that time again to feature SI03 and their Syntrax Protein Powders in another protein packed recipe. Working with these protein powders just seems…natural.  They fit perfectly into my baked goods with minimal tweaks.  What’s a challenge is when you have the ‘sweeter’/fruity powders and want to incorporate them into a savory, non-treat/sweet dish.  The Medical Unflavored protein powder is usually my go-to ‘flavor’ for those types of dishes.  Where the challenge lies is using say the Fuzzy Navel Syntrax flavor in a savory dish… until now *grin*

Yeah, look at that Panini packed with fresh roasted turkey, tons of peppery arugula, smokey melted gouda and that dressing.  That GLORIOUS Protein Packed dressing!  Forget the cucka mayo (that stuff is nasty anyway).  Skip the mustard and other spreads.  This Protein Packed spread is literally 2 ingredients and while it seems totally simplistic, the flavor is anything but!  I literally could not stop eating it!  The combination of the Fuzzy Navel Protein powder with fresh organic Apple Butter was pure heaven!  Yeah.. apple butter and peach protein powder… who would’ve thought?

Protein Packed Pumpkin Cream Spice Power Balls

With Thanksgiving this week I’m posting this recipe early so I can take a few days off to spend some much needed quality time with Mr. Fantabulous. This time of year we give thanks to the many gifts bestowed upon us, I being no exception.  I’m so blessed that words elude me.

I’m thankful for my amazing husband who loves me unconditionally and has made all my dreams come true.  I’m thankful for my family and my friends who have made my world that much more better.  I’m thankful for my TKW family as I’ve seen it grow from just a handful of people to worldwide phenom! These peopel are amazing and make me a better person! I’m thankful to our men and women who are putting their lives on the line to protect me, us and our country.  I’m thankful for the wonderful success The Kitchen Whisperer has had this past year.  It truly has been amazing.  And I’m thankful to my friends, no… my family at SI03 and their AMAZING Syntrax Protein Powders. They believe in me, my brand and the recipes I create with their products.

This week, we all know that Thanksgiving is a day to put on the fat pants (trust me, I have mine already out!), let our hair down and chow down on some amazing foods.  Keep in mind sure you can indulge and have that extra slice of pie if you want but… you still need to eat healthy be conscious of everything you eat.  So yeah, you’ll have to work out maybe a little harder and longer but it’s okay.  Life is about balance!  Eating healthy doesn’t mean not eating at all or eating sticks and hay.  Food is meant to be enjoyed, savored!

Protein Packed Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Pancakes with Cream Cheese Syrup

Did you ever have one of those days where you just wanted Breakfast for Dinner?  Yeah, me too!  This was no exception.  Now I work out twice a day – cardio in the morning and then weight training after work/evening.  I had had a pretty rough day at work which meant I was going to have a killer evening workout.  One of the BEST ways to alleviate stress; makes me work out harder and stronger.  Really gets those muscles pumping and blood flooding!   Using SI03‘s AMAZING Syntrax Protein Powders has been awesome for me. When I shared my Protein Packed Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie Pancakes with Chocolate Cream Syrup recipe, the response was overwhelming.  What was funny though is I got some emails from Raisin Cookie Lovers – they felt slighted.  That they were tired of the chocolate chip getting the lime light!  Folks, I’m sorry, please forgive me for not paying homage to the lusciously delicious, naturally sweetened Raisin.

Protein Packed Parmesan Meatball Quinoa Bake

It’s that time for our Protein Packed recipes featuring SI03 and their AMAZING Syntrax Protein Powders! I’m trying to give you all a variety of dishes you can make ranging from drinks, sweets, dishes and snacks.  This week I’m going full on savory and total YUM fest!

This dish was inspired by the fact that I was still down for the count from having surgery and I just wanted something comforting.  Since quinoa is one of my top 5 favorite things to eat, I knew I wanted something with that.  But what though?  Now it’s now uncommon for me to just whip up a batch of my perfectly cooked quinoa and eat it plain (although the flavor is anything but) however I wanted more depth and a a full on explosion of flavors.

As I was rummaging through my fridge I spied a container of my Protein Packed Chicken Florentine Parmesan Meatballs and it hit me… I was going to make some type of ‘Bake’ that incorporated the meatballs and quinoa.  Since marrying into an Italian family one must at all times have a jar of Italian Gravy (marinara sauce) in the fridge, a wedge of Parmesan cheese and some type of Italian meat. Good God I can’t even fathom Mr. Fantabulous and how he would react if there was no sauce!

Since I’m not a huge pasta person but love the flavors of sauce (cause mine ROCKS) and cheese, I opted to make this dish Italian-themed. And since I’m a huge advocate on getting enough protein daily, I added in my favorite protein powder!

Since this was just for me, I opted to go with smaller portions and make them into personalized sizes though I’ve made this in a big casserole dish. This is one of those things where size doesn’t matter… *giggle* I know, bad Lori! LOL Admit it!  You’re grinning from ear to ear trying not to giggle.

An Italian Dish packed with protein? I’m so there!
