With the TKW Family growing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis, I thought I should put together a little table of conversions for my recipes. This will handle both US. Standard measurements as well as Metric.

I am trying to find a conversion table for measurement from foreign to american. Have a Swedish Cookies recipe stating 2 1/2 dl of flour What is a dl and also 100 g, would be how much butter. Very confusing, and not having any luck to find the conversion. Thank You.

Hi Martha!
So DL stands for deciliter in European measurements. I have this page about recipe conversions – https://www.thekitchenwhisperer.net/recipe-conversions/ For your recipe 2.5 dl of flour would be 1 cup flour. 100 grams of butter would be 1/2 cup of butter.

do yourself a favor and get a digital scale one that you can set to metric (grams) or english (oz.) then have a handy dandy conversion table standing by.

WOW, I truly feel that you did a great job on putting this website and the conversion tables. It was too easy to find out the conversion I needed. No having to select an item and then what I need converted into another weight, etc.
