With today being Valentine’s day, instead of going the typical roses, box of chocolates and jewelry route why not skip that and make your sweetheart a scrumptious dinner AND do all the clean up!
… Wait, did I just say SKIP JEWELRY??? OUT LOUD??? Oh no no no. *DISCLAIMER… this does NOT apply to Mr. Fantabulous. Remember sweetie, I like sparkly stuff – and not the stuff that comes out of the bubblegum machines. Kapeesh? LOL
I’ve compiled a list of 3 different meals – salad/appetizer/bread then paired with your choice of beef, chicken or shrimp, a veggie and scrumptious dessert.
Why not treat you honey like the Prince/Princess they are and surprise them with an amazing meal!
For starters, go with the following:
Strawberry Spinach Salad with Sugared Pecans
Chicken Prosciutto Roulade Appetizer
Roasted Garlic Asiago Crescent Rolls
For the Main Dish go with one of the following:
New York Strip Steak
Perfectly Roasted Cornish Hens
Spicy Shrimp in a White Wine Marinara Sauce
For the Side Dish go with one of the following:
Baked Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Brown Sugar
Grilled Prosciutto Asparagus
Parmesan Hasselback Potatoes
For Dessert go with one of the following:
Triple Chocolate Pots de Creme
Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee
Cheesecake Samoa Tart
You are above and beyond amazing. Many good ideas that I’m going to pick from tomorrow night, as we are going to a romantic concert tonight. Thank you for all that you do for all of us readers! Though I don’t comment much, I read EVERY recipe and story, and you are fabulous!! Thank you
Nancy,
I wish you could see the ginormous smile on my face now thanks to you. Thank you so much. I’m just me; just a girl with an undeniable passion for being in the kitchen. I love knowing that I can inspire even just one person to either go into the kitchen for the first time or get back on that horse. I love the fact that the TKW Family has grown so much and that it’s as if we’ve all known one another for centuries. Just real people sharing real every day events; just life in general.
And a romantic concert huh? Sounds awesome! Let me know what you end up making!
Best Kitchen Wishes <3!
