Ingredients
1 pound of bacon, cold
3/4-1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 – 2 1/2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a half sheet pan with aluminum foil.
Mix the grated cheese and freshly cracked black pepper in a baking dish.
Place one slice of bacon in the cheese mixture, coating each side. Twist the bacon tightly and lay it down on the lined half sheet pan. Repeat until all of the bacon is coated. If you have extra cheese mixture, sprinkle that over the top of the bacon twists.
Bake for 12 minutes, remove from the oven, carefully flip the twists over, and bake for another 12-15 minutes or until the bacon is crisped (remember the bacon will firm up slightly upon cooling). *The thickness of your bacon will determine how long it takes to finish baking. Thicker bacon will take longer.
Remove the twists from the oven and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to absorb the excess grease. Enjoy and store any leftovers in the fridge.
