Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. To a large skillet, add the water and sugar over medium-high heat. Once the water starts to bubble or low-boil, stir in the sugar until it dissolves.
  3. Add in the pecans. Stir the mixture often, coating all of the pecans as the water evaporates and the sugar starts to crystallize.
  4. Immediately remove from the heat, dump the pecans onto the prepared pan, and carefully spread them out as best as possible.
  5. Allow to cool completely, then break up into pieces/clusters and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
