A night of solace…

To say that I’ve been busy these past 2 weeks is an understatement.  Orders are going out as fast as they are coming in (thank you all!), work has been well… if there is a place that is beyond swamped then work has been there for 2 weeks solid and I’ve been running on fumes.  Now don’t get me wrong, I’m loving every minute of it as I am not one to sit and do nothing but it’s been forever since I did something for me or for us.  I’m even embarrassed to admit this but our tree isn’t even decorated yet.  The house is done at least but Mr Fantabulous has been busy with his job and so have I.  So tomorrow we’ve decided to take some ‘us’ time, decorate the tree and spend some time with friends.  If I had my way I’d love nothing more than just sitting by the fireplace decorating and singing Christmas songs.  Now to know me/us it wouldn’t be just random “Fa La La’s” but it would turn out to some type of festive karaoke (yes, I LOVE karaoke) and despite what Mr. Fantabulous states he loves it to0!  I have pictures and a bajillion witnesses 😉

So anyway tonight I had solace. Earlier while he was doing ‘man’ stuff down in the garage I locked myself in our bedroom, turned on Extreme Makeover Home Edition and began to wrap presents.  I wish you all could have seen my face as I was wrapping his stuff.  I had the BIGGEST grin ever 🙂  During the commercials I was singing Christmas songs… yep all by myself at the top of my lungs.  LOL  Told you I was a dork! 🙂

Oh yeah.. and I made myself one of these… Dark Chocolate Hot Cocoa with toasted marshmallows

“Twas a good night indeed!

My hot cocoa so doesn’t look like that! The little hot chocolate packets so don’t end up that color when mixed with hot water and mini marshmallows! 🙂

Dad still hasn’t broken the plastic on the tray yet. He keeps walking by and looking at it dreamily. I would open it up for him, but it is so funny to watch him!!! The last time he walked by that yummy tray he said, “Damn…I can’t get just a corner up.” Teehee! I told him whatever he gets will be a Little Piece of Happiness. 🙂 Maybe I will break that tray open for him.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!! Order youself and the Mr. soemthing and soak the feet in the pool.

    Cheers!
