Did you ever have one of those days where time just flies by and even though you’re incredibly busy that when you realize that it’s time to go home from work you feel like you got nothing accomplished??? Well today was one of those days. Between the 900 interruptions of people stopping by to “hey simple quick question…” um yeah, they are NEVER quick nor EVER simple, to the umpteen gazillion emails that I swear all have “URGENT” in the subject line (seriously people did you never hear of the Little Boy who Cried wolf???”) to the 47 meeting request – I mean really who books meetings when they know you’re already in another meeting? Literally at 10am this morning I had 5 different meeting invitations for that time that all said I *HAD* to be there for their meeting. Really? I mean REALLY? Who does this?
So needless to say while I was busy taking care of everyone else nothing *I* needed to work on, got done. Ugh!
Fortunately when I stopped at the market on the way home I made a HUGE score on Tuna fish for Mr. Fantabulous! My store had Starkist Albacore for 69 cents a can of which I had 50 cent off coupons. Scored 30 cans for free! BONUS! Mr. Fantabulous will be thrilled! I swear for as much tuna he eats he’s going to grow gills and a fin!
Dinner tonight was simple – Rotini with meat sauce, some of that amazing sourdough bread I made the other day and THIS for dessert…
Cream cheese Pound cake with a Strawberry Coulis and Whipped Vanilla Bean Mascarpone filling…
Oh yes.. it was THAT good!
