So remember me giving you the recipe to make your own Sourdough Pretzels from the Sourdough discard? Use that but instead of adding salt to them add a sprinkling of cinnamon sugar.
2 tablespoon white sugar mixed with 1-2 teaspoon cinnamon. I like a lot of cinnamon so start off with less and add more if you want a more pronounced cinnamon taste.
Now.. remember the Caramel Cinnamon frosting we made the other day? If you thin it out with a little milk (maybe a teaspoon or 2) to where it’s dippable, this is PERFECT with these sweetened pretzels. When you shape the pretzels you can make the traditional pretzel shapes. If not you can just roll it out to 18″ and then twist it like I did below.
I also got adventurous and took 3 18″ ropes and braided them. I flash froze those and now they are in a big baggie waiting to be baked and eaten. When I bake those I’ll post a pic on Facebook.
