If *I* could do a cartwheel without breaking my neck or taking out some shrubbery, I would! I get absolutely SO excited about the All-Clad Factory Sale!
By now from on here, here, here and here, plus Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest you all know I have a deep love for All-Clad. More importantly I have respect for them and their superior product.
Twice a year All-Clad has what’s called their ‘Seconds Sale’. This is all their stuff that they either have too much of, has been discontinued or deemed irregular. They come fully back with All-Clad’s warranty. Now the whole ‘irregular’ may cause concern but trust me, there is NO CONCERN! There may be a blemish – small scratch, logo off center, something that causes it for the big department stores to not want to sell it. In no way shape or form does it lack in quality or performance.
♥When: Friday, May 31st and Saturday, June 1st, 2013
♥Time: Friday is from 9am-7pm | Saturday is from 9am – 4pm

♥Things to know:
ο They accept cash and credit card (at least they did the last 14 times I’ve gone).
ο There is no better day to go though if really want something, it’s best to go on Friday morning.
ο The past few times people started lining up pretty early (like 6am) but I go later in the afternoon and there is always a boat load of product left.
ο What is so awesome about this sale is that through out the entire 2-day sale, the wonderful folks of All-Clad keep replenishing the products.
ο If you buy more than your vehicle can fit (trust me, you will buy and buy and buy!) in the past they have offered UPS shipping.
ο The sale is in-person only; no online ordering. Take the trip and visit – Pittsburgh is GORGEOUS this time of year and it truly is a site to see!
ο The All-Clad employees that work at this event are SUPER nice and extremely helpful!
ο There are no shopping carts but they have provided heavy boxes that you can either pull around or carry.
ο If this is your first time going, be prepared to be amazed!
ο There will easily be 150k-200k people that will flow through this event.
ο If you’re going and they have their tea kettle and a 20 qrt stock pot.. leave it, it’s mine! I NEED these *wink*

So my wife and I are trying to start to put an All-Clad set together. Which I am sure you know takes time and is expensive but these pans seem to be the best and I love the one we have. Can you tell me the next time they are having a sale. I would love to see what kind of deals we can find.
Thank you.

Hi Ryan!
This year’s sale is on December 6th and 7th. You’re right, these pans are the best pans on the market. And yes, they can be very expensive when you buy them retail but this sale is truly magical! The prices are significantly less than the stores. If stockpot pot in the store is say $500, you can get it at the sale between $100-$200 (depending on the style). I personally am a diehard fan of the Copper-Core series (which again, is the most expensive). However from an engineering standpoint the design, heat distribution and the way it’s manufactured is truly flawless.
If you’ve never gone before you’re in for a true treat! If you go first thing in the morning be prepared to stand in line. I personally prefer to go after 11. They replenish the items all day long however if there is something you’re truly hoping for, it’s best to go early.
If you need some advice on starter items that are a must-have, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

Any word on when the December sale will be? Will be coming all the way from Chicago and wanted to plan. Thanks!
TKWAdmin says
Hi Lisa,
I’m waiting word back from All-Clad. It’ll most likely be the last Friday/Saturday in November OR the first Friday/Sat. in December. As soon as I know I’ll pass along the information!

I have a question and I am hoping that you use them and can point me in a direction….I want a stainless steel manual handheld juicer—(good quality). I dont want the ones that are yellow, green, or orange because I am sure the acid will cause flaking. I checked amazon and the norpro had didnt have recent 5 star reviews. Too bad all clad doesn’t make them then i would know they were truly stainless steel. I may have to venture out to williams and sonoma this weekend and see what they have.
TKWAdmin says
Hi Monique,
One thing to keep in mind about ‘stainless steel’ is that it depends on the gauge of the steel itself. What this means depending on the gauge of the steel it can ‘rust’. You’ll get those ‘red’ type rust particles. This is iron in the steel. The best way to find out if it contains rust is hold a magnet up to it. If it sticks, it’s not a good quality piece of stainless steel as it will ‘rust’ over time.
This juicer isn’t handheld and it’s a tad expensive but it’s AMAZING! http://www.webstaurantstore.com/hamilton-beach-932-manual-commercial-citrus-juicer/410932.html I don’t use a handheld one and the only like that I have is one from my mother from the 50’s. I actually think that’s made out of cast aluminum (another great choice).
The colored ones today aren’t bad but be sure it states that is has an ‘acid-free’ sealant on it that will prevent the flaking.

Do you ask get snow and ice? Here in Chicago it can get pretty bad. I am definitely not driving on hills in the snow!!!
TKWAdmin says
These past few years it hasn’t really snowed hard until late January/early February. We may get a small squall here and there in December but there wasn’t anything more than say an inch or two.

Keep food warm, not God…oh good grief!!!
Braiser not braised…and Le crueset, not me crueset. that’s it no more kindle typing!!!
TKWAdmin says
HAHAHA Monique! We have a Le Creuset outlet here (about 90 minutes from the All-Clad event) and it’s FABULOUS 🙂 Unfortunately (or fortunately) that’s only 25 minutes from my office so I can easily hit it during lunch *wink*
I wouldn’t fret over the UPS thing. Everything is insured. You HAVE to come back at Christmas 🙂 We’ll do lunch then!

I didn’t want to fly because I knew I was buying alot. So I drove. I didn’t want to take a chance on ups shipping and something happening.
I did call and they said that the skillet did not come with a lid. I did check out the lid aisle, I bought two. One for my stovkpot and the other for the four quart sauce pan. I asked if they had lids to fit my 12″ skillet and they said they didn’t.
The last at Williams and Sonoma told me to call the stores here because accidents happen and the end up having extra lids because of employees dropping the pans. My friend suggested a buy an inexpensive pot to get a lid, since the lid will be used to keep God wan or help it along in the cooking process.
Actually I thought about flying if i ever go back since I got the bulk of my list. I really wanted a braised but they didn’t have one. But I could always purchase the me crueset one

First off, you have to tell people about the scary hills! I was petrified! I was sooo worried about mountains that i never thought about hills! Ok after the 10 hours in my car driving with my ten year old I was sooooo happy to see the hotel.
Now the good stuff!!! I ended up with (3) twenty dollar gift certificates. The all clad ladies kept giving them to my son. So I gave one away to a nice lady that i met. Everyone was so nice, it was great. So many people came up to me…like…no one, you know no one here?!?!?! I kept telling them I drove from chicago only for the sale!! So they just talked my ear off because I was there alone. It was really a wonderful experience but I don’t know if i could do that drive EVER AGAIN!!! Also, I took my son to Sarris like you suggested. He had a really good time there!
Now my purchases!! 7 piece tool set, D5 11″ french skillet, D5 10″ fry pan, Lasagna pan with lid, 2 stick pot holders, measuring cups and spoons, (1.5 qt, 3 qt, & 4 Qt sauce pan), 13″ splatter screen, 4qt saute and simmer, 4qt D5 essentials pan, (2) 12″ fry pans, 6 qt stock pot and two lids. Best grand i have ever spent!
I have a question. My 11″ french skillet had no lid in the box. I plan on calling in the morning. Has that ever happened to you?
Last thing, I knew i wanted 3 sauce pans, I just didnt know what size. So i told the guy what i was thinking and he goes well we only have (2) 4 qt soooo if you want one put it in your cart while you think about it. I was like give it here… and thanks!
TKWAdmin says
HAHA yeah, I tend to forget that people that aren’t familiar with the area or Pittsburgh in general don’t know about the hills. Sorry about that.
Oh wow, that’s awesome about the 3-$20 certificates! And Bravo to you about giving one away! That is so generous of you! I love to hear people giving back like that. Yeah, the drive is rough but worth it. Next time you need to bring a friend with you to share the drive. Would it be better if you flew in? I think they are about 45-an hour away from the airport. The one in December is GINORMOUS to say the least!
WOW you hit the jackpot on stuff! That’s awesome!!
Your french skillet, did it say on the box that it was to come with a lid or not? I know not everything comes with a lid but it’s always been marked. That’s why they have a separate section (typically the last 2-3 tables in the furthest aisle inside) where you can get the lid you need for that pan. But give them a call. They should be able to help you out.
Let me know what they say!

I’d like to check it out but have baby in stroller & well behaved 6 yr old. Do you know if this is kid friendly?
TKWAdmin says
Hi Angel,
Yes it is! There is a lot of people but everyone is respectful of one another. There are a ton of kids there with their parents.
I hope you can make it!
