Holy moly where did this week go? I swear it just flew by. The last thing I remember was it being Memorial Day and I didn’t have to put on real pants for work. LOL God I hate wearing real pants or pants in general. I was that little kid that as soon as my diaper was off my nekkid little butt was running around the house like a mad woman. Hmmm… I wonder what if I’ll be that way when I’m 95?! Ha!
So how was your week? Mine was pretty good. We ended up having a date day (which did not include Home Depot) to celebrate my birthday since I was sick with a sinus infection on my real birthday. Dinner unfortunately wasn’t that great at all but at least I had good company with me so that made up for it. So after dinner we had to stop at Five Below (love that store) and stocked up on movie snacks. I’m sorry but I refuse to pay $6 for 2 ounces of M&Ms. So with my purse loaded up we hit up the theatre.
And since it was my birthday I got to pick the movie. If you know anything about me you know I LOVED the movie Pitch Perfect. I mean I totally dorked out of that movie and pretty much know it line for line so when they came out with Pitch Perfect 2 I was all kinds of acca-cited. LOL The movie overall was good but it paled in comparison to the first one. Now this was full on chick-flick as I found myself numerous times with tears welling up in my eyes. I still really liked it but I was hoping for more. It’s cool though as there are very, VERY few sequels that are as good as the original. As we watched it we nommed on our candy and of course the $14 bucket of movie theatre popcorn. Seriously that stuff is amazing!
Since it was still early we decided to see another movie – his choice. UGH… yeah.
See I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE wuss and hate scary movies. It’s bad; real bad. Now I have 2 fears in my life – mice/rats (they are just icky) and clowns. Clowns I have a horrific fear of those red-nosed little SOB’s. Sorry if you do that for a living but you freak the hell out of me.. period! And of course if you recall the original there is a clown scene in that one. Well no, not this one. Nooooo there’s not just a scene. Oh no, those SOB’s gave us like 20 minutes of 472 clowns from HELL scenes. Needless to say my eyes were kept covered and head pretty much buried in the bucket of popcorn. Oh yeah did I mention that it was in 3-D too???
But aside from that I can appreciate a movie for a movie; it’s someone work after all. That being said, yeah um.. no. This movie was horrible. They essentially took the original, made very little change to the plot and made it in 3D. We both hated it to the point we regret wasting almost 2 hours of our life on it. So if you see want to see it well, I warned you.
Work itself was super busy as usual but I so love my job and the people I work out. Speaking out, Friday was a sad day as I had to say goodbye to some folks that were leaving the company. *sniffle*
So this week looks pretty busy but today I’m cutting this post short as Mr. Fantabulous and I are heading to Kennywood (local amusement park) for the day for my company picnic. It should be interesting as I don’t ride at all and he’s still recovering from surgery which means I’ll spend a bajillion dollars on food. The man eats non-stop at this place and like most amusement parks it’s super expensive. But I’ll dish about that next week.
With that, here’s to you having an amazing week and hopefully this week’s weekly menu gives you some great ideas for dinner!
