Weekly Menu

Wow is it Sunday already?  Geez oh man, where does the time go?  So how was your week?  Mine wasn’t too bad.  I had a pretty bad scare on Tuesday.  Since I had that death plague that seemingly everyone in Pittsburgh has/had the doctor also put me on an antibiotic along with the steroid.  After about 3 days on it I noticed that my joints were really, really sore and swollen however I attributed it to all the manual work we are doing around the house.  Well Tuesday morning by the time I got to work my right thumb/joint was so swollen that I could barely close my hand and my back was killing me.  So I just stuck my hand in ice most of the day while I worked.  By the time I left work I could barely walk and was in tears my body physically hurt so bad.

So I got home and Mr. Fantabulous had to help me get undressed and into bed as I could barely walk. From there I had tremors/shivers for close to 4 hours and literally every single part of my body hurt so bad that I could barely even roll or move.  Several pain pills later and almost 48 hours finally I was back to normal.  Needless to say I stopped that medicine immediately. Here I ended up being one of those one in a bajillion that has the rare side effect of joint pain and swelling.  Should I have gone to the ER – eh, maybe but while I’m not a doctor I know my body well enough to know my breathing was ok, my heart wasn’t racing and I didn’t have a fever. However poor Mr. Fantabulous was pretty scared.  Only me, huh?

What else?  Soooooooooo I came home on Wednesday to no kitchen floor.  Yeah, we’re talking just the wood stuff that you put down underneath tile was left.  Well, that an 987,345 friggen staples!  Now you know how Mr. Fantabulous and I are redoing well, pretty much everything now in order to put this house on the market?  Yeah, he and his buddy tore up the entire floor.  Only they left the 987,345 friggen staples which means he and I (though more so he as he works from home and has a little more flexibility) had to pull them up and out one by friggen one.  UGH!

But today we should be able to finish up the last few 4×8 boards of it though I don’t think my nails can take any more.  However before I can do that I have one final client shoot to finish up for this week.  I cannot wait for you guys to see the recipe I created for Pringles!  I had SUCH a blast with it! Actually I have 3 new client posts this week – Pringles, MARS and International Delight Simply Pure Creamer.  I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE working with clients like this!  I’m given such flexibility with how I can use and incorporate the products in new, exciting and delicious ways!  It allows me to think outside of the box and really show how diverse my skill set is.

So with that I need to get my butt back in the kitchen, grab a quick (though very late) breakfast and finish up this last photo shoot.  Here’s to you having one fantabulously amazing week!

    Hi,

I look forward to receiving your weekly menus, however you forgot all about St. Patrick’s Day. I’ve been making it for three years and everyone loves it. I’ve told them all about your recipe and they are hooked as well. So please do add something later this week.

    Respectfully,
    Melanie Aponte
