Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the French Toast Casserole and Grandma’s Old Fashioned Meatloaf!
Oh Sunday how I love/hate you. I love you because it means I have one more day to sleep in, not have to wear real pants or care if my hair looks like I stuck my finger in a light socket. I hate you because you’re my last day to sleep in, the last day I have before I have to put on real pants and I have to care about how my hair looks when I step out the door. So how was your past week. Work continues to be a bear and just kicking my butt. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that I’m challenged but I can’t seem to catch my breath. But I’m tough and just push through.
TKW was a light week as I didn’t do too much work on it last week because my “real job” got in the way. However I have a bunch of stuff planned for this week and in the near future. However speaking of TKW I’m SUPER bummed. See when I work in the kitchen on a new recipe I tend to use steno pads as my scratch books. I don’t care if I get stuff on the papers as it’s meant to get dirty. Saturday I made a huge pot of classic chili and well nothing is better with chili than some homemade corn bread. Since I FINALLY perfected my corn bread recipe I was craving it. Sadly I searched for 2 hours straight and cannot find that book. What’s even worse I can’t remember what other amazing recipes are in it too. The only thing I can remember about that recipe is soaking the cornmeal in the milk before I make the recipe. <sigh>
With Halloween being tomorrow, did you attend any parties? If so what did you dress up as? I’ll admit it, I do miss our BooFest parties. I had so hoped we’d have our house ready one last time in order to have one before we put it on the market however that wasn’t the case. But at least my office had a Halloween party. Now some folks did bring in costumes but sadly no one put them on – they didn’t want to be the first one I suppose. However what we all did bring in was food. I took the easy way out. I had intentions of making something grandiose however Thursday was pure hell for me that when I got home my head was pounding so bad and I was just so just beat up I went to bed at 4pm. I got up at 7:45 in a COMPLETE panic. I had no clue what time it was (morning or night) or what day it was. By the time I got my bearings I went out to the kitchen to make something fast. Brownies are easy – one bowl, no mixer and you can add in whatever you want. Since I wasn’t sure if folks had peanut allergies I kept it straight chocolate…. 6 different types of chocolate.
So let me put this out there – someone made a great comment the other day on Facebook. As you know I do a ton of Pressure Cooker recipes however many of you still are fearful of using them. They suggested I do a Facebook Live “show” on making pressure cooker wings. It would be eh 15-20 minutes long. Now I’ve never used FB Live but I think I’m down with it. However would you be interested in it?
Anyway, I should get this booty going as since I have to wear real pants tomorrow, I need to go wash some real pants. I don’t think work would appreciate my showing up in jammies. So with that, have one Spooktacular Halloween!
