Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Lasagna Rollups and Streusel Crumb Sour Cream Coffee Cake!
Hey hey hey TKW Family! This is going to be a super short post and one that’s not so pretty with the graphics. I literally just made the graphic below in Power Point and ‘guessed’ on the sizes. So pardon the juvenile look of it. I’ve been flying all day and never got the chance to make a proper weekly menu graphic. And since I didn’t want to have to carry 2 laptops and a tablet one had to give. So I left my TKW laptop that is awesome but a beast at home. I’m in Carlsbad right now. The first leg of my flight from Pittsburgh to Dallas was pretty sweet as it wasn’t a full flight so the seat between me and the other person was empty. HOWEVER… when we stopped in Dallas to pick up people… oh dear lord!
Now I LOOOOOOOOOOVE kids but that was the longest flight EVER! There were 40 pre-teen cheerleaders with accompanying parents on board…and they lost the competition they were at. I had one woman with a toddler who sang about some damn duck THE ENTIRE 3.25 hour flight. I now have ‘quack quack the ducky goes quack quack’ playing in my head non-stop. And don’t get me started on the kids. I so felt bad for them but omg I have a headache from how just loud everyone was.
But enough about that. I arrive safe and sound to a very chilly California. Um where’s the sun and heat? Thank goodness my TKW Family that lives out here warned me to pack a sweater. BRRR!!!
However tonight I’m whooped and while I’m out on the West Coast I still have to carry on my East Coast meetings. Hello 6am meetings. Lovely.. But make sure to follow my adventures on Instagram this week to see the foods I’ve eaten (and fallen in love with) and the places I’ve seen.
Tonight’s dinner was this…

“A fantastic meal. Great service, great food and great value for money. We recommend Longfellows to people.“
Wow I have jusy come across your blog and I am so impressed at this weekly menu I will certainly be trying some of these recipes.
Been enjoying your post for several years now. Trust your advice. Made about a dozen no knead bread loaves a year ago Christmas. Did 30+ this year.
Bought the Brod&Taylor knife sharpener last year. Opted for the composite material as I could not afford the stainless model. Already have two sets of good knives but went to Thrift Store to look for a diamond in the rough. Found 2 both sharpened up well but one is my go to knife for most everything. How sharp is it…wickedly so. Never seen anything get a knife so sharp so fast. Now I know I’ll need the Brod & Taylor slow cooker based on your recommendation and the quality of the knife sharpener. Have a good time in Ca.
Bob,
Thank you so much. You have no idea how much your comment really touched me and means so much. Their products are honestly incredible! I have 3 of their items – the original proofer, the knife sharpener (which is INSANELY awesome) and this new proofer / slow cooker. One thing I’m very, VERY particular about are the brands I choose to promote. I put my name behind these companies because I believe in them and more importantly I use them. Being a dual engineer I have a very high set of standards. I review a product not only from how it works in the kitchen but I look at it from an engineering aspect – the materials, design, durability and does it have repeatable quality. So yes this proofer/slow cooker is worth the investment. Plus the versatility of it is awesome.
Again, thank you!
Best Kitchen Wishes!
