Weekly Menu

Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the 15 Minute Creamy Lemon Pepper Parmesan Pasta with Langostino and the Thai Peanut Shrimp Summer Rolls!

Happy Sunday TKW Family!  How are things in your world? So guess who just realized that Labor day is only a couple of weeks away? Yeah, this girlie. Dear God, my entire summer…wasted on this stupid shoulder surgery. Well okay it wasn’t wasted as it definitely needed done but my entire summer was spent stuck in a recliner, going to PT or to the doctors. Ugh…

So tell me about your summer!  Did you go away?  Where do?  What’s the BEST THING YOU DID THIS SUMMER? Let me live vicariously through you. Actually my summer wasn’t that bad, aside from the pain, it was pretty good. I got to spend so much time with Mr. Fantabulous that it just made us even closer (if that’s even possible). But it was nice, you know?

We decided that we’ll take a trip this winter as a vacation. Have a suggestions? I want warm and sunny. We’re not beach people and I definitely don’t ski. We were talking perhaps about a cruise. Do you have a favorite cruise line? While I absolutely adore Mickie and Minnie, I am not going to be going on a Disney cruise any time soon. I’d prefer more adult type cruises.

But guys, since I just realized that my summer is almost over I’m going to do my best to just be outside today and get some sun on my very pale skin. So with that, have one fantablously delicious week!

DH and I are 60+. We went on a Disney cruise about four years ago and had a fabulous time. Ship’s staff keep kids so busy we hardly ever saw any! We also enjoyed Disney’s dining arrangement. Your table (since we weren’t traveling with family/friends, we were grouped with two other couples in similar circumstances) remains together throughout the cruise, but you rotate through Disney’s series of three dinner restaurants. The good thing is, the dining staff is the same every night too–and they are usually amazingly quick to catch on to dining preferences, limitations, and quirks. I also felt that overall Disney dining room and stateroom staff had better English skills than similar personnel on other lines (we’ve been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity). Other things that were unique about the Disney cruise was that the staterooms had a two-part bathroom. One section had a shower/sink combo; the other had a commode/sink combo. It made dinner/shower preps a lot easier/faster because we didn’t have to wait as long for the other person to vacate a single-person bathroom situation.

Oh cool I didn’t know they did that! I just didn’t want a cruise that was geared more towards children versus adults. Thanks for such great info!

      Best Kitchen Wishes!
