Tuesday’s Tip with The Kitchen Whisperer – Instant Pot recommendations

So you got an Instant Pot for Christmas (YEAH!!!). Here are some items that I think are a MUST-HAVE to make you a Pressure Cooker Rock Star!

First, WELCOME TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF PRESSURE COOKING!!! I know, a bit dramatic but trust me, these things are a kitchen blessing!  I’ve been preaching about the incredibleness (go with that made up word, k?) for years now and thankfully you guys listened!  There are several varieties out there but the overwhelming popular one is the Instant Pot. Rightly so, it’s pretty amazing! I have 3 pressure cookers made by 3 different companies and they all work incredibly well, but this one, this one edges out rest of the other electric ones by a smidge. But now that you have one, let’s talk about additional items that, honestly, you really should have to get the full benefit of pressure cooking!

All of the items below you can find in my Amazon Influencer store as these are products I personally LOVE and recommend. And if you know me, you know it takes A LOT for me to put my name, my brand behind it. And if you buy through my links or Amazon store, thank you! I earn an affiliate percentage that allows me to keep this site up and running. Running a site isn’t cheap to be honest and costs thousands of dollars a year so every little bit helps.

8 quart Instant Pot

Glass lid – why do you need it? This is perfect when you want to slow cook (but still look at your food), preventing spitting/spattering when sauteeing AND when you make popcorn. YES, POPCORN in your pressure cooker! You have 3 sizes to choose from.

7″ round Spring Form Pan – this perfect for cheesecakes and other desserts!

Genuine Instant Pot Sealing Ring – these sealing rings are essential to proper pressure cooking. However since they are a rubber type material they can absorb odors. What I personally recommend is having one for your more pungent dishes (chili spiced, etc) and one for your milder items (cheesecake, etc).

Instant Pot Silicone Lid – these are great when you want to leave the contents in the pot and chill over night. Think a huge pot of soup or chili! Go straight from the pressure cooker to the fridge!

Egg Steamer Rack – Seriously, hard boiled eggs in 5 minutes people! This is HUGE for the new year and living a healthy lifestyle. Eggs are an amazing source of protein!

6 Inches by 3 Inches Cheesecake Pan – yes, CHEESECAKE in the Pressure Cooker!

Travel Tote Bag for Instant Pot – why this? Gone are the days of taking baking dishes or crock pots to houses. Taking your Instant Pot is what’s hot and what’s awesome! Imagine whipping up a killer pressure cooked meal in the office, at your friend’s house or at the cabin in just minutes! Just like the lid, this comes in various sizes to choose from!

Baking Professional Round Baking and Cooling Rack, 6-Inches – this is great when you want to cook 2 dishes at once . Think potatoes in one bowl and broccoli in another!

6 cup Bundt Pan – This is excellent for making bundt cakes, monkey bread and stuffing in a bundt mold!

What is the difference between an instant pot and regular pressure cooker? Do I need both?

    • TKWAdmin says:

      Hi Meg,

No Instant Pot is the name of the company. Emmeril, Pressure Cooker XL and All-Clad all are brand names that perform similar functions. Kind of like how we all call tissues “Kleenex” yet there are multiple brands of them. The Instant Pot just is leading the industry right now with pressure cookers as it’s a bit more user friendly and most well-known. They built up a reputation of quality and excellence.

      Best Kitchen Wishes!

        Hi Lori,
Do you think the Instant Pot is a good item to get for the kitchen? My daughter in law and I were talking about this item yesterday.
