Tuesday’s Tip with The Kitchen Whisperer – Awesome new kitchen finds!

I’m all about kitchen items that serve multiple purposes and are practical. Today I’m sharing with you some of my latest kitchen finds that I seriously am in ♥ LOVE ♥ with!!!

Hey TKW Family!  Today I’m sharing with you some of my latest (and favorite) kitchen finds. I’m not one that buys the latest and greatest, the flashiest or even what’s trending just because it’s trending. Being an engineer I look at items I suppose you would say differently. Like you I assess the quality, price, purpose. Some of you as well probably look at the re-usability of the item. Now where I’m a bit different (or super-analytical as my friends say) is, depending on the product, I’ll take it to that ‘in the weeds’ level. Case in point pots and pans. I reviewed numerous pans from a metal compound perspective, heat transfer/dispersion, composition all the way to the types of metal used. Full disclosure this is where Mr. Fantabulous actually helps out as he’s also an engineer but works very closely with metal fabrication.

However I will say I have been one of those folks where I see something “pretty/shiny/pig-oriented” and have to buy it. Though 99% of the time they tend to be just be pretty with zero practical value – unless it’s anything pig. Pigs always have practical value. lol

So let’s take a look at the things I’m currently infatuated with (fyi you can find these all in my Amazon Influencer Shop):

  1. Glass Milk Bottles – pint, quart, half gallon
  2. Replacement Milk Bottle Caps
  3. This Knife Sharpener
  4. Speculaas Spice mix
  5. Ghee Butter
  6. Instant Pot Yogurt Maker Cups

Glass Milk Bottles

Pint – Okay for real, these are the best things ever! So I hate milk or juice out of a plastic carton. To me it just doesn’t get cold enough. Plus I want to be able to see my stuff. These bottles are perfect for transporting milk to work/school as well as even dressings/sauces for a picnic!

Quart – I use these when I make a huge batch of sauce or marinade that I want to take to a friend’s house. Plus when the juice containers run low, there’s no need to keep a half-empty gallon container in the fridge. Just put it in one of these. I don’t know about your house but fridge space is prime real estate!

Half Gallon – Half Gallon milk bottles are what I remember my Grandmother having delivered. It wasn’t until I first went to Mama Fantabulous’ house did I see these again. She had 2 glass milk jugs she saved from when they lived in New York that literally were 40+ years old! It was that ice cold glass of milk at her house that immediately reminded me of my grandmothers fridge and seeing all of those milk bottles.

Glass Milk Bottle Caps

Replacement Caps these fit the above 3 bottles.

Brod & Taylor Classic Knife Sharpener – I have the professional version of this knife sharpener however I bought Mama Fantabulous this one for Christmas. Every single thing I’ve ever used from this company is absolutely stellar! Mama Fantabulous is in LOVE with this sharpener as it truly sharpens your knives, is precise and extremely easy to use. I trust my chef knifes to either of these sharpeners! In the kitchen you NEED a truly sharp knife. Invest in this product!

Baking/Cooking

Speculaas Spice – Not sure of the name? Ever heard of cookie butter or biscoff cookies? This is the spice that is used to make those cookies which is used to make that cookie butter. <you’re welcome>

Ghee Butter – Ghee is a clarified butter that has had its milk solids toasted then skimmed away from the fat, resulting in a product that combines oil’s very high smoke point and butter’s rich, nutty flavor. What’s this mean? It’s lactose-free and paleo friendly!

Equipment

Instant Pot Yogurt Maker Cups – Seriously make yogurt in the pressure cooker!

Sharing is caring!
