Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Pittsburgh Style Grilled Cheese n’at and the Italian Tuna Crostini Bowls!
Happy Sunday TKW Family! How was your week? I wanted to take a second to send our continued love and prayers to those of you impacted by Hurricane Florence. May you and your loved ones be kept safe and out of harms way. Is it me or does it seem like these storms are getting worse and worse as the years go by?? And the level of frequency seems upped as well. I don’t remember them happening as much growing up and certainly nothing of a category 4 and 5. God I can’t even imagine how scary that has to be. To be told you have to evacuate your home and to only grab actual necessities. We work a lifetime to build up ourselves, establish a home, fill it with stuff that is personal to us to only have it taken away in mere seconds by such a horrible act of nature. My heart just breaks for those poor folks. I just can’t even imagine.
My week wasn’t too bad; busy as usual but with stuff I love – TKW stuff. I had a bunch of client work to do for future recipes and we even had date night. And no it didn’t include Lowe’s or Home Depot. Well okay that’s not actually true – he did ask after our date if we could go to Lowe’s so he could run in (while all dressed up) to pick up to handles for a drawer. But for real, an actual date night that required ‘fancy clothes’ and everything! LOL
There is a new restaurant that opened up in Monroeville called Coast and Main. It’s a steak and seafood chop house and I have to admit it was pretty good! We’ll definitely go back. It’s probably the only fine dining restaurant on ‘this side’ of the tunnels and it’s definitely needed! Read my full review here – Instagram.
Wednesday night I decided to go to Mr. Fantabulous’ band practice and hang out with the guys. I hadn’t been there in eons. 18@Heart is an 80’s metal tribute band with a few classics thrown in. Ranging from AC DC to Dokken, Ratt to Judas Priest it was a good time. They actually have a gig on 10/6 in Pittsburgh opening up for another band (it’s their first gig out). If you’re free, stop down at Good Time Bar & Grille in Millvale. I’ll be there and you’ll get to hear some awesome music and one of the best guitarists around (my husband). Seriously, he’s incredible. Give them some love on Facebook or Instagram. They just started these pages so content will be coming soon. Videos are being edited now and hopefully will be up soon.
