Hello, 2020 and Happy Sunday TKW Family! Happy New Year! So how did you spend NYE?
We spent it the best way possible – just us, watching a movie and with amazing food.
Honestly, it was just so lowkey and truly was amazing.
Previous New Year’s Eves
There was a meme circulating on facebook the past week showing how certain ages celebrated NYE. As a kid it was all about fighting your hardest to stay awake, watching Dick Clark and the ball drop.
As a teenager it was staying up all night with family and friends, drinking mocktails and thinking you were legit because you were up till 4 am.
When I turned 21 it was all about the hardcore parties. Then in my 20’s, there was the trip to Time’s Square where it was a madhouse, waaaaaaaay too many people for my liking and more so a thing to cross off my bucket list. *never again!*
In my 30’s, it was more sophisticated if you will. No bars, no drunk crowds but rather elegant parties as someone’s house.
Now, it’s all about quiet and simple. It’s not about staying up till midnight but rather the people I spend my time with. Oh sure, we still have our pork, sauerkraut, and pretzel but the parties, booze, and crowds – not my scene anymore.
So this is adulthood, eh? I kinda like it!
Speaking of liking stuff, you NEED to enter my Emile Henry giveaway as the winner is being drawn this week!
Emile Henry Giveaway ending THIS WEEK – Time’s running out to enter!
Choice of Emile Henry Item
I’m literally in LOVE with both of these items and am so excited for one of you to win these!
You already saw the recipe I posted with the Italian Loaf Bread Baker featuring the Artisan Cranberry Pistachio Chocolate Chip bread and yesterday I posted the Cheesy Bacon Ranch & Chicken Braided Bread Wreath in the Bread Cloche.
Just head over to my giveaway, follow the entry instructions, and let me know which one you’d want to win!
Do you make resolutions?
I’m not one that does; never did really. Instead, I set small, achievable goals that do challenge me but aren’t impossible. An impossible goal would be dropping 50 pounds in 4 weeks and living only on water and grapefruit.
Instead, I set my own goals.
Videos – I’m almost ready to start shooting real videos for TKW. No top-down, everyone in the world does them, videos. Sure they are okay and made Tasty a crap ton of money but they are impersonal. Instead, mine will be cook with TKW segments for both new and existing recipes.
Oh, I’m sure the first few I’ll talk way too fast, look like a fool and make a million mistakes but that’s how you know I’m real. Everyone is so busy trying to be perfect. Please, I’d rather have real and authentic any day over robotic and empty.
So tell me, what type of food videos (style-wise) do you like watching?
One Tired Puppy today!
So last night we hosted Mr. Fantabulous’ band’s holiday party. It was small (12 folks) but you would have thought I was feeding an entire platoon for how much food I made.
But honestly, it makes me so happy seeing people’s eyes light up when they see the foods. And it’s such a HUGE honor when they ask if they can take stuff home.
Today, though, I’m tired. Thankfully Mr. Fantabulous not only cleaned the ENTIRE 8400′ sqft house himself but he was a huge help in the kitchen. Since I still don’t have much use of my left hand since the surgery, he had to help me with a lot of the stuff.
He’s a keeper for sure!
