Last minute rushes… gotta love ’em

What a busy, BUSY day yesterday!  I’m sad to report that the tree STILL is not decorated.  I’ve informed Mr. Fantabulous that Santa does NOT put any presents underneath non-decorated trees and that it would be in his best interest if it was decorated today… OR ELSE 🙂  haha

Honestly we’ve said every day for the past 2 weeks, “we need to do the tree! Let’s do it tonight/tomorrow” however tonight/tomorrow passes us by due to work.  We both work… A LOT!  I know, I know… no excuses but when you’re covered in flour from head to toe while thinking of configuration management on nuclear power plants (aka my real job) the little things (while still very important) seem to slip by.

I had a few last minute orders yesterday for my puffy sugar cookies plus a few things.  These are sort of similar to the Lofthouse style recipe I posted the other day but with a few twists that make these purely my own 🙂  I know.. SELFISH!

After finally getting them done Mr. Fantabulous surprised me with a Date Night!  We met up with some friends for a good dinner (even though our waitress was HORRIBLE.. I mean HORRIBLE to the point where I was visually annoyed and couldn’t wait to get out of there).  After that we went to Home Depot.  Yeah I know “but.. um, weren’t you on a date???”  LOL Yes we were.  The very first date Mr. Fantabulous took me on was to Home Depot and then a burger place.  He loves it there and when he’s all full of smiles over wrenches, drills and bolts then I’m happy!  Though I did tell the person working there they need to put in benches in the aisles for wives and girlfriends with Cosmo and Food Network magazines while the men stare at the shelves in awe!  Anyway, after that we went back to our friends house to play cards and hang out.  Trouble Twin #1 (TT1) even gave me a haircut – TT1 is one of my best friends 🙂

Afterwards, we stooped at our favorite pizza place, Fiori’s and sit at ‘our’ spot.  This pizza is worth the 1.5 hour drive!  I mean it’s THAT good!  Plus the people there are so much fun!
