Tis a lazy Sunday…

Mr.Fantabulous and I decided to be lazy bums today.. well okay, I decided for us.  I’ve been running on fumes for weeks and after going to 2 of our dearest friend’s daughter’s wedding yesterday I officially pooped.  I mean tuckered out.  You know where it’s even an effort to brush your hair or bend over to put socks on.  THAT tired!  I really, REALLY need a vacation.

Now for some of you a lazy day may consist of what.. jammies, eating in bed and literally doing nothing, huh?  See, I just can’t do that.  That’s just not me.  I’d get too antsy and would be on edge that one of us would get crumbs in bed – I hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhate that!  I mean HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE that!  That happened once and I could not sit and relax…and yes, I had to change the sheets.

So my ‘lazy’ day consisted of jammies for the most part of the day (cable man decided to show up a day early), unbrushed hair that was pulled up in a scrungi (oh yeah.. I was DEAD sexy lemme’ tell you!) and some baking.  I decided to modify my English Muffin recipe because I was satisfied with the amount of nooks & crannies in it.  I made 15 of these bad boys and I FINALLY have the texture and crannies/nooks I want.  Mr. Fantabulous LOOOOOOOOOOVED them!  Then I made him a Sourcream Coffeecake with a Cinnamon Streusal Pecan filling topped with a Maple Pecan Glaze (yeah, total mouthful but I have no clue how to shorten it).  LOL  I also made pizza dough and did laundry.

“But I thought you said you were going to be lazy today… doesn’t sound too lazy to me!”  This is lazy to me and honestly, awesome!  Now I’m going to go take a little siesta and veg out.

Just thought I’d share the Coffeecake I made.  This is really, REALLY good! Oh yeah.. I also threw in some mashed bananas in it too!

    May I please have your recipe for the Sourcream Coffeecake with a Cinnamon Streusal Pecan filling topped with a Maple Pecan Glaze that was posted March 18th 2012. I love your site. I had been searching for a recipe I tried at Christmas – your Red Velvet Cheesecakes Minis. I made it at Christmas with a few modifications but could not find the original. I made them individual with a scoop of red Velvet cake mix pressed into a muffin cup and then the cheesecake on top. They were gone instantly. Thanx Again. I will be waiting to hear back for the coffeecake recipe.
