Happy Sunday TKW Family! So another week is on the horizon. How was your last week? Mine was pretty good; long though. I started a new job which, after being off recuperating from rotator cuff surgery, was kind of rough to get back in the groove. I actually slept and for the first time in my life I actually missed not working. However more importantly I really missed being with Mr. Fantabulous. 3 months, 24/7 with that man straight then spending my first real day without him was rough. So many times as I was sitting in my office I would look almost expecting him to walk in the door wearing his cookie monster flannel pajamas pants, t-shirt rubbing his gorgeous sleepy eyes.
What was cute though as when I got home he met me at the door, informing me that the following occurred while I was work:
• laundry was done
• laundry was put away
• dishes were done AND put away
• the driveway is plowed
• the garage door is fixed AND
• he met me with a huge kiss
Now me, being me, I look at Mr. Fantabulous and said “Whatever you did with my husband please make sure they don’t find him as I like you much better.”… and that’s when I got my butt whacked. LOL He said he was “lost” around the house without me so he said he kept himself busy while he had downtime at work. So sweet!
How about that big storm that hit the East Coast on Friday into Saturday? Yeah where we live we were only supposed to get about 1-2″ HOWEVER by the time the snow stopped on Saturday we got about 8″. My one brother who recently moved to West Virginia on the border of Virginia got about 30″. So while Mr. Fantabulous snowblowed the driveway I made up a few new recipes – One Pot Cheesy Chili Beef Pasta and 4-layered double chocolate cake. Don’t worry those recipes are coming soon but can I just say I absolutely LOVE one pot wonders.
What else I love about winter is once the snow stops and the sun starts to set, you get what I call ‘Fire Skies’. Even though it’s super cold out, seeing views like this make the winter bearable.
