Happy Sunday TKW Family! I don’t know about you but I’m ready for spring/summer. I’m done with snow, cold, gray and gloomy weather. It’s depressing to be honest. I prefer seeing the trees all full of leaves, flowers swaying in the wind and feeling the warmth of the sun on my cheeks. Oh Pittsburgh why can’t you have weather like Arizona? Yes I know, it’s hot. No, like it’s REALLY hot. I get that. I’ve been there for extended periods of time when it was 118F out all day long and the evenings cooled down to a whopping 98F. It’s hot but…it has to be better than the gray, the gloomy weather, the rain and the erratic temps we have here in Pittsburgh. Right?!
Watch with our luck we’ll move there someday and then there will be some global change in climate and Arizona will have the weather we have here. side note: I’m sorry if I jinxed you Arizona.
Last week was a little bit easier for me as I finally got a good night sleep. The pain seems to have subsided some for Mr. Fantabulous which means I do not have to tend to him every 2 hours for meds and so forth. The best news was when he said “Honey I want to try to shower myself.” While showering with my hubby is always awesome it’s not so awesome when he’s in this sling and you’re scared to death to bump him or hurt him as you wash that arm/area. And let’s face it, unless you have a million shower heads (which we don’t) someone is always cold. Plus he and I are COMPLETELY different water temp shower(ers). He likes it so hot that your skin is cherry red and it’s like fire hitting you. I prefer it warm but not fat-melting – although a shower that melted fat I’d be totally OK with.
So by the time I’m done showering him I feel like I have 2nd degree burns. Yet when I take a bath, I want that water so hot I’m like a lobster being tossed into a pot of water!
