Weekly Menu

Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Caramel Infused Apple Cheddar Chicken Burgers, the Italian Rocket and the Ultimate Oven Roasted Chicken!

Happy Sunday TKW Family from the comforts of my bed. I’ve pretty much been in bed since Thursday and it’s driving me crazy. As I mentioned on Facebook, I had some minor outpatient surgery on Thursday. It’s more pain than I had anticipated but the worst of it is that I am the worst patient ever. Seriously I woke up Friday morning and said, through my bandaged face to Mr. Fantabulous, “Okay, I’m done being injured. I don’t have time to be down for the count.” To say I’m impatient when it comes to healing is an understatement.

Maybe (shaking her head no as it’s not true) it would be different if Mr. Fantabulous wasn’t still healing himself but since he’s still recuperating I feel like I have to take care of him.

So needless to say I’ve been trying to do more than I should and being the worst patient ever. I can’t help it. It’s not about being stubborn but it’s like I was raised to be a caretaker; I was raised to be the “mom-type” to always take care and put others before me. So giving up control or asking for help is rough needless to say buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut I’m getting better.

Social Media

The good thing, if you will, about being off for a couple of weeks is that it’s letting me get more structure around my social media accounts. Once I’m all healed, I’ll continue my interviews to hire a social media manager. For now I’m managing it but man it can be exhausting. However it’s been great as of late as I’ve “met” so many new folks and been inspired over and over! I’ve been looking for table settings for both of tables as our realtor is having a private realtor open house next week and I want to get the house all ready for “show”.

I’ll tell you what guys, it’s amazing when I go on Pinterest and just see how many talented people there are in the world. Social Media, like pinterest and Instagram, have given the ‘unknown’ folks like myself to showcase our crafts to the world where, prior, we would have never had the opportunity.

For me, I try to keep my accounts all fresh and give a bit more variety in each. I’ve found that Facebook is where I have the more 1:1 personal connections and is more the family-style atmosphere. That’s where I feel the most connected with the TKW Family. Pinterest is where you can find everything and anything related to me/foods/likes/meals. Twitter is just…. I don’t know, I never really got into it as much as others. And lastly we have Instagram. I actually really like Instagram as it’s real-time and candid – for the most part.

Rest, rest, rest

Okay family, it’s time for me put this away and go rest – Dr. Fantabulous’ orders. lol  With that, have one fantabulously amazing week!

Yay, just what I need to get out of the menu rut that I’m in. With my spouse being gluten free and vegetarian, some of these will require a tinch of modification, but these look great. Tomato and zucchini tart may be a great vehicle for using up the inevitable late Summer bounty too.

      Hi John!

While I love meat, it often doesn’t like me so often I will make a meat version for Mr. Fantabulous and a vegetarian version for me. If you search my site, I have a chunky Portabella veggie burger recipe that is a huge hit and one that you can easily transform into meatballs for pasta, or crumbles for a hash or even taco fillings!

      Best Kitchen Wishes!
