Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Mozzarella Stuffed Italian Meatballs and Spaghetti and the Sunday Brunch Toffee Coconut Crunch Cookies!

Happy Sunday TKW Family! With Fall here, how many of you visit pumpkin patches, fall festivals and so forth? That’s one thing I’ve never done; visited a pumpkin patch that is. I think this fall, now that the house is listed and we’re pretty much done with the house work (other than normal things like grass cutting, cleaning) I want to start checking out things like that. If you’re local to Pittsburgh area (east/south) let me know about some local fall festivals. Growing up we grew our own apples, pumpkins, cornstalks so there really wasn’t a need to go. All I had to do was walk out into one of the fields and everything I wanted was right there. But now that I’m older and we can enjoy ‘normal people things’. I think I’d like us to start doing that.

I found a website that also offers fall foliage train excursions as well. Mr. Fantabulous loves trains (but then don’t most boys?) and I think he would love that. If any of you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Last week was crazy busy as usual work-wise but on a personal note we had a blast. We went out Thursday night for the Savor Pittsburgh charity event.  Lots of great food to taste from various local restaurants, libations galore, silent auction and live music. We actually both ran into lots of people we knew and I got to meet a ton of amazing new folks in the food industry. I, honestly, wasn’t sure if Mr. Fantabulous would have fun as I was also “working” if you will as I was posting live shots and talking “shop” with various chefs and companies but he, as we were walking around said, “I’m having such a great time honey. When’s the next event for us?”  That honestly made me smile as I love when he gets to see “my world”.

Friday night we went over the Fantabulous in-laws and had a small birthday gathering for a friend of ours. You see our friend had a birthday the other day but didn’t celebrate it or even a birthday cake. That, is just not right. Your birthday should always be recognized and it should be a big deal. So I baked him a double layer chocolate fudge cake and we all met at their house (Mama Fantabulous pretty much adopted him as one of her own). Then for whatever reason we ended up in the family room watching You Tube and this dude test out the most painful stings/bites in the world… ON HIM SELF! Like legit! He would travel the world to track down these bugs or what not and purposely have them bite/sting him and rate the pain scale. Sorry dude, you’re nuts! I hope you make tons of money from this but NOPE! Hard pass!

Saturday we had friends over for a small going away party. It was just simple finger foods, lots of libations and Cards Against Humanity. It’s so wrong; it’s so offensive but I’m sorry people. I find it absolutely hysterical! We laughed so hard at times that I literally thought I was going to pee my pants! Hey if my 80+ year old in-laws love the game, then it can’t be all that bad. No, it’s definitely not for kids. But for us, OH YEAH!

Today I have some recipes I have to get done though I’m moving a tad slow today. All I want to do is snuggle up under the covers and watch all the shows I recorded.

New Things I’m crushing on!

I am SUPER geeked over this new Pizza cookbook! I’m ordering it. I’m pre-suggesting you do too as it look incredible!  Order on Amazon!

Must Read!

This Nordic Ware Haunted Skull Cakelet Pan for Halloween!  Okay so it’s not “newly” released but I’m thinking this recipe but as a molten lava cake!

Then I ran into a Pittsburgh legend who I had the pleasure of cooking with on tv a few years ago. AND he immediately remembered me!
