Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Italian Cheesy Stuffed Shells, the Super Juicy Greek Turkey Burgers and the Instant Pot Classic Pot Roast and Gravy!
Happy Sunday TKW Family from a very frazzled Lori. I’m flying out to Salt Lake City at the butt crack o’ dawn tomorrow for a week-long foodie conference and I’m just now packing and getting stuff organized. Anyone that knows me, knows that I’m a planner. I make lists (and check them way more than twice), am crazy organized and am all set at lest 24 hours prior to my departure. Unfortunately this week threw a something terrible in our lives. Mr. Fantabulous’ best friend’s father lost his fight with cancer. It was without question that we would attend both days of viewings and the funeral. However what made it tough for us is that it was about a 3-hour round trip. But, like I said, we would have gone no matter what the distance.
However all those hours spent driving, attending the services and just being with our friends in their time of grief meant it took away from our daily lives and the things we/I had to get done. But, that’s what real friendship is all about. You drop everything, no matter what, when a friend needs you. At least that’s how I was raised.
So needless to say I’ve washed a few loads of clothes, shopped for the week, cooked for the week, cleaned the house in the event that someone wants to come view the house (as we have it back on the market). Sadly I couldn’t get the yard done as it’s been raining off and on for a few days which means it’s impossible to take a tractor to the yard. Mr. Fantabulous will have to manage. He’ll just have to take it easy as he still is recuperating from his surgery.
