These Weekly Menu recipes allow you to get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try some delicious and easy dishes! This week I highly recommend making the Mozzarella Stuffed Italian Meatballs and Pasta, the Root Beer Float Ice Cream Sandwiches, and the Pretzel Bun Philly Cheesesteak Bombs!
Happy Sunday TKW Family! Can I take a moment to thank Mother Nature for the past 4 days of absolutely gorgeous Pittsburgh weather (even though it was like 95% humidity). We actually were able to get so much stuff done outside AND I was finally able to get sun-kissed a bit on my otherwise translucent pale white skin. WOO HOO! How was your past week? Mine was, well, the same – busy at work, busy at TKW, busy at home. I have a bit of added stress trying to get a million things done before my upcoming surgery this Wednesday. However, I did manage to get a fair bit done.
Since the surgery is on, what I call my ‘Chef’ hand (left hand as I use my left hand for almost all things in the kitchen even though I’m right-handed), I knew there would be many things I couldn’t make. Now for me, while I recover I’m fine eating crackers and broth. I tend to lose weight when I have surgery because I have no desire for food. And trust me, that’s an AWESOME thing – not exactly the best way but hey, I’ll take it! However, Mr. Fantabulous is used to eating certain things – pasta, homemade bagels, pizza night, etc.
So needless to say, the next few weekly menus will be more freezer-based and ones that he necessarily doesn’t have to cook from scratch OR are terribly difficult. However, if I really wanted him to, he could make this stuff with my guidance. He’s actually stretched pizza dough before when I had my rotator cuff surgery. I’ll use this time as a test for when I start offering classes. If I can instruct him on how to cook/bake, then I know I can teach anyone.
