These Weekly Menu recipes allow you to get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try some delicious and easy dishes! This week I highly recommend making the Cheesy Hot Tuna Noodle Casserole, Cajun Shrimp Po’Boy, and my Chocolate Covered Pretzels!
Happy SundayTKW Family! 2 weeks into living in Arizona and I’m still loving it. Such a great neighborhood and neighbors!
We’re still unpacking a million boxes and haven’t had a chance to sit down and chat with folks but I’m hoping soon!
Sunny (?) Arizona
So we’ve been in Arizona for almost 2 weeks now and I think it’s rained at least 50% of the time we’ve been here. But the locals said it’s a much-needed/much welcome thing. But I still feel like I should apologize for bringing any Pittsburgh weather with me. However, the rain doesn’t last long and it goes sunny pretty quickly.
We had our first lunch outside the other day and I have to admit, it really felt nice! And for those that asked, I absolutely brought Bella, my pizza oven, with me! There was no way I was leaving her home!
The movers from hell…
Oh guys, when I say I am dealing with THE WORST moving company of all time, believe me. This Pittsburgh company is absolutely HORRIFIC and an absolute nightmare to deal with! Literally, every single thing they packed and moved for us got damaged. Down to even my mattresses and box springs!
Literally, there are huge grease marks all over my king mattress and the box springs are cut with knives! And my bedroom furniture… my $45k custom made bedroom furniture that we saved up for years to have made is RUINED! To the point, you can’t even put the greasy mattress on the frame as it’s not safe. They stripped the bolts and screws when they attempted to put it back together. Every single piece of furniture is scratched, dented, and or gauged out. Other mattresses are ruined. They lost lamp parts, broke other furniture and belongings. Oh and let’s talk about the barrage of litter and cigarette butts they left all over the grounds outside of my house. Even after I told them I have severe asthma and can’t be around cigarette/cigar smoke.
They lost 8 of our boxes. We bought the insurance but all we’re getting is excuses and BS. They refuse to talk on the phone – to this day they will not call me or discuss this. They hide behind emails. I’m attempting to use their claim program but they are so antiquated that it all has to be done by snail mail.
Fortunately, I’ve been talking with my legal team and they have involved the PUC about them. Let’s just say the PUC was not surprised at all about my experience.
For now, I won’t say who they are but if you’re leaving Pittsburgh and looking for a moving company send me an email and I will tell you in detail my experience with the company and who they are. NO ONE should ever have to deal with this company again! YELP reviews are there for a reason.
TKW On YouTube
As I mention every Sunday, I have a YouTube channel. I’d LOVE and appreciate it if you subscribed there. I’m brand spanking new there and with the millions of TKW Family members out there, I really need to build up my subscription base there.
Not only am I creating videos for my newer recipes but I’m also going back and creating them for my most popular recipes.
Since I have 1000+ recipes posted, it’ll take me a little bit to get them all done but I’ll get there.
My goal is to do more longer-type 10-15 minute cooking videos where I talk to you while cooking – think TV-show but candid.
Candid in the sense of – I scrape the whole bowl out (no, we don’t waste stuff in my house), I’ll get batter on my face, flour on my chest, and laugh at myself because I dropped/tripped/or just messed up what I was trying to say.
You’ll get me as me – true authentic Lori
Did you make a recipe? Leave a blog comment!
So why do I ask this? Two reasons:
- Honest feedback is appreciated. It helps me learn and grow.
- Most folks read the comments first before they decide on making a recipe or not.
We all visit blogs looking for delicious items and inspiration. What I find (and you should as well) the MOST USEFUL thing is the comments that people leave. Honest feedback, good or bad but respectful please, on a recipe.
You can give suggestions on what you’d tweak or a spin you put on it. Heck or just tell me that you loved it! Like how to make vegan, keto, or not use mushrooms.
This is how I grow and become better on here and it gives you guys real feedback. The absolute most critical thing you can do for me is to leave a comment on the blog recipe post.
When I look at someone else’s recipe I read the comments as to me, that’s honest feedback. So when you make a recipe of mine or plan on making it, leave a comment on the post. I, and everyone else that goes to my site, truly would appreciate it!
