I know, you’re probably wondering “Why in the world would I ever need Peanut Butter Simple Syrup???”
Trust me, you’ll thank me in the next post! Most of you know to use simple syrups in drinks; i.e, mojitos. However simple syrups are not just for drinks.
Next time you make a cake, muffin, cookie, sweet bread or any dessert really, brush the top with a flavor simple syrup. It’s insanely good!

Making this stuff couldn’t be any easier…
Literally put the sugar and water in a pan. When the sugar is dissolved and it starts to bubble, add the peanut butter and cook until slightly thick.
Yeah.. THAT simple.

I made this and put it in my iced coffee and it tasted JUST like the Dunkin donuts peanut butter cup 😲 awesome!!

This looks amazing – going to try it next week to brush on my sons chocolate cake before frosting it.
You say a glass lidded jar . Do you mean the lid needs to glass as well as the jar?
Hi Jan,
No, I meant like a mason glass jar. Great question! I’ll clarify it in the post!
Best Kitchen Wishes!
My grandmother, Lottie Vance Daniels, of Avery Co. N. C., made this for us. We put it on a hot, buttered, homemade biscuit. This was a real fine breakfast for us kids. All us girls knew the recipe, and have shared with our grands.
I’m curious how long it is good for.
I haven’t made, but it looks amazing! Would this work as a sauce over ice cream sundaes? A lot of recipes I found for pb sundae sauce used corn syrup or honey & I don’t like the taste of either.

Merry Christmas and best Kitchen Wishes!
Which brand of peanut butter do you use? I tried to make this today and solidified quickly. It still tastes good but not the effect I was going for!
