Partnering up with SI03 with their Syntrax Protein Powders has been truly amazing! Baking and cooking with protein powders has really helped me develop my skills in the kitchen plus it’s blessed me to come in contact with a whole new group of people. Thank you! The bottom line is, people love food. People love GOOD food! And that’s my goal here to provide you with amazing recipes that not only taste scrumptious but also remove the guilt. Lord knows we work out hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle and nothing, nothing, ruins it more for us to see all that hard work go to waste after a 1500 calorie dessert. We shouldn’t have to deprive ourselves of yumminess due to it being so unhealthy. What I’m doing here is providing you yumminess without the guilt or ‘eaters remorse’.
This week is no exception. Now for me, I didn’t fall in love with oatmeal until I was in my 20’s when *I* made it myself. See growing up, oatmeal I saw as a punishment my Mom would force us to eat when it was butt-cold in the middle of winter and we had to go to school. We had to go to school with a full belly and a warmed belly. So far, not too bad, right? Well see my mother, God bless her soul, believed oatmeal was just oats cooked in milk and a dash of salt. That’s it… like no sugar, no syrup, no fruit, no nuffin. It was thick as paste and trust me, it stuck to your ribs for weeks! *love you Mom!* So as time went on and I got more and more comfortable in the kitchen I strayed outside of the box and started to play with additions and flavors. The first time I had fruited yogurt I swear the angels sang to me! LOL
As you’ve probably seen on the net, overnight refrigerator oatmeal is the latest trend. It’s really simplistic and anyone, even those that are truly kitchen impaired, can make. If you can add ingredients and shake the container, you’re good to go. Well okay, you’ll need space in your fridge as well.
Since oats are really healthy for you and one of my favorite post-workout morning foods I wanted to boost up the protein in these puppies. These were so amazing that literally I could have eaten all of these in one day – like breakfast, lunch and dinner! I had my protein packed oatmeal at 6:30am and I wasn’t hungry until 2pm! This really curbs your hunger cravings and keeps your fully satisfied. Plus the taste is AMAZING!
All you need to do is take it from the fridge, shake/stir it and eat. If you want to warm it, just microwave for 30 seconds to a minute.
Now keep checking back as I have a ton of other flavor combinations to add – Sinfully Decadent Chocolate, Cappuccino Latte, Cookies ‘n Cream, Nanner Berries and so forth! If a flavor combination isn’t listed yet that you want, please contact me and I’ll hook you up!
