Happy Sunday TKW Family! Another week has passed which means it’s time for another installment of the Weekly Menu. Do you like these menus? Do they give you inspiration on different things to me? For me, it does. I have at times gotten into that rut of making the same thing over and over. If Mr. Fantabulous had his way he’d want pasta every night and be completely happy with it. Me though, I need variety. So how was your week? Anything interesting happen? For me it was pretty good; super busy at work though. And we got hit twice with snow. We didn’t get a lot but the first snowfall always separates the people who know how to drive in the snow and icy roads and those that clearly need biffed upside the back of their head and not allowed to drive…EVER!
99% of the time I’m very laid back and easy-going. However, put me in traffic where it’s snowy and forced to deal with those that need honestly smacked for being and I get pretty po’d. I don’t get the whole concept of folks acting like snow is a new thing here. Now if you’ve never ever been around snow then fine, I get it but don’t decide to make morning traffic your first venture. And for God’s sake, EDUCATE yourself on how to drive in it INCLUDING getting 4 snow tires on your vehicle. Whether it’s 4WD, AWD or RWD – get the damn snow tires or stay off the road. You not only make my commute unbearable, excessively long but you make it unsafe for EVERYONE on the road you wing wang! Yes you, the guy in the Z7 Corvette that tried to drive it in 4″ of snow…I’m talking to you you *grrrr*
So yeah, that’s my ‘ugly’ side if you will. I have zero tolerance and patience for stuff like that. But I made it to work safe, though really late, but in one piece so that’s all that matters.
Anyway, my week was super busy and at times a bit chaotic but it’s all good. I’m happy. Like really, really happy. I also went to the gym 3 days last week. I had to; I was going nuts. I still can’t do anything with my shoulder or anything that jiggles it (running, lifting, spinning – that’s killing me!) so I stick with leg exercises and core. I saw an ortho surgeon too and now I have to have an MRA done. Have you ever had one of those? If not they are an MRI but they have to inject this big honkin’ harpoon into your joint with this contrast dye. I’ve had it done a few times on my knee and I’m sorry it hurts like a SOB when they do it. I have a really high pain tolerance but let’s just say I’m not looking forward to this. The dr. thinks I tore “something” …. possible partial rotator cuff tear or partial tear where the tendon attaches to the bone or the tendon attaches to the deltoids muscle. So we’ll see. Either way I’m not going to let it get me down.
OH OH OH! Did you see that my Grandma’s Pittsburgh Fried Bologna Sandwich was featured on Huffington Post’s website??? I am beyond ecstatic! I’ve had a couple of my recipes featured there plus other sites. I am working on creating a “Featured” page on here for me to brag. I didn’t want to do it but Mr. Fantabulous and my friends keep urging me to do so. I’m not one to do the whole “Hey look at me!” thing but I’m proud of what I’m doing and it’s an honor to be recognized like that.
I had a ‘me’ night on Saturday while Mr. Fantabulous was at band practice. I can’t wait for the day you guys can hear that man play the guitar. He’s epically gifted. Yes I know I’m biased because he is my husband but honestly, he’s one of the best guitarists I’ve heard. It’s just pure magic when he plays. It’s funny I can remember him trying to teach me years ago to play as he wanted me to learn bass. Now I can play a few instruments but they are woodwinds and very little piano. I can read music and understand it but for the life of me I could not get my fingers to work right on this thing. The most I could play was Mary Had a Little Lamb. LOL Finally I said “You play, I’ll sing…” But anyway as for my ‘Me’ night. It was awesome! I finally got to see a movie I wanted to see for a while. Have you seen “Chef“? If you love food or love cooking then this is a MUST see!!! I absolutely LOVED it!!!
Anyway I should sign off now. I need to run to the market but I don’t want to get out of my jammies. Have you ever done that? Gone to the store in your pajamas? Don’t worry, I’m not going to do that though I may leave them on and put sweats on over top. LOL

Dang, you are busy! I love your menu idea and maybe I can get with it, and get on board and actually use all the handy dandy information/shortcuts you provide. My darling, you click away on your keyboard faster than I can keep up with. Anyhow, there was something I wanted to comment on…..oh, the menu…….hmmm, …..but I haven’t used up all the ingredients I bought for last weeks menu… I’m feeling pressure here…..
Nah this is normal for me hon 🙂 I’d go nuts if I had a non-busy life. I’m not one to sit still. I drove my parents nuts as a child because of it.
LOL no pressure sweetie. You got this!
Best Kitchen Wishes!
