Weekly Menu

Happy Sunday TKW Family! This week’s edition of the Weekly Menu is brought to you from the comforts of my bed.  You see I’ve been in bed since Friday afternoon fighting some type of death plague.  Unfortunately working in an office environment you have some folks for one reason or another come into work even though they are hacking up a lung, sneezing like it’s their job and just breathing their nasty germs into the office.  Sure you wash your hands a bajillion times, don’t touch anything public and use enough hand sanitizer to sterilize a hospital ward.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine however I do get the fact that either your work doesn’t allow you to work from home or what not but then take a sick day.  Seriously all you do is hurt the rest of the office. So now I’m sitting here, hair not brushed since Friday (don’t judge), barely eating (nothing sounds or tastes good which may not be a bad thing in my whole weight loss journey) and it hurts to even blink.

Now though all of this Mr. Fantabulous has been truly a trooper trying to take care of me (did I mention I’m stubborn?) while staying as far away from me as possible. You see when I get sick I just get a cold.  When he gets sick it’s the bubonic plague. The world must end and his sniffles are of epic proportions. But in all fairness he does tend to get sicker when he does get ‘sick’.  So right now I’m praying he doesn’t get this as this thing truly has kicked my butt.

BUT on the flipside we FINALLY finished the plastering downstairs!  For 5 nights straight we plastered and it’s now in the curing stage. We’ll pick up the primer in a week and then paint.  We have the flooring picked out too for the downstairs.  Speaking of that… OMG have you priced flooring lately?  I just about had a coronary when calculated the price!  JUST for the wooden floors downstairs (remember we’re doing the kitchen too) it’s around $10k!  YES… TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!

Needless to say either I’m going to have to put up a cupcake stand on the corner or pimp out Mr. Fantabulous!  LOL But it’s a must if we want to put the house on the market this April.  God I pray it sells fast and for what we’re asking.

So with that, I need to sign off and get some more sleep.  Here’s you to having one amazing week!
