Wow this week FLEW BY!  Happy Sunday TKW family!  I swear I was just writing last Sunday’s post.  Did you ever have one of those weeks where you literally have to think what all you did because you can’t believe 7 days has passed?  That’s me now. Like I know I was busy, I’m always busy, but I’m struggling with what all I did.  Obviously I know I worked – both jobs and we did work on the house but… Yeah wow, is this what old age and forgetfulness is like? *GASP* No, that’s no laughing matter nor something to joke about.  My grandma had dementia and the beginning stages of Alzheimer. God I miss that woman.  She was the definition of a spitfire.  She stood all of 4′ nothing, pink or purple hair, wore cat eye glasses and drove around this killer beefed up candy apple Chevy nova.  My grandma ROCKED!  She’d put you in your place with just a look but she’d open up her house to anyone that was hungry, cold or just needed a hug.

So last week we made some progress on the house.  Mr. Fantabulous stained the island and finished that up.  Today, if it doesn’t rain we’ll bring it into the house and mount it.  While he’s doing the electrical stuff on it I’ll work on another post I have due this week for a new client.  I’m SUPER excited to be working with this company. They manufacture simple and unique revolutionary filter product (100% Natural & Organic) that solves the food storage problem by extending shelf life of produce on average 2 to 3 times longer than typical.  By collaborating with them it allows me (and them) to educate a healthier lifestyle and promote good health.  I absolutely LOVE working with like-minded companies!

Last night, after we cut the grass, Mr. Fantabulous and I had ‘date’ night.  Yep you guessed it we went to Loews (I think he’s mad at Home Depot as we rarely go there anymore). On the way there we texted our friends to see if they wanted to meet up for a late dinner since we hadn’t seen them since January.  Yes I know, we suck – right now we are horrible friends.  We can talk and text all the time but actually getting together is extremely hard. We are so consumed with this house that our only priority is getting it done.  FORTUNATELY our friends all understand this and still love us.  So anyway, after Loews we had about 2.5 hours to kill so we went and got some ice cream.  You see we only had breakfast yesterday morning and I knew he’d be starving soon.

Now what’s pretty funny is as soon as we walk into our favorite ice cream place they know our order – he gets the banana split and I a cone.  Now the thing is I can never finish my cone. I get a small waffle cone but these things are massive which means he eats his banana split annnnnnnnnnnnd about 1/2 of my cone.  So when we were done there he was stuffed. On the way to meet our friends I had to stop at Kohl’s to return some stuff so he decided to stay in the car (he was too stuffed to move) and I went and returned my stuff.  Annnnnnnnnnnd maybe came out with a big bag of new stuff.  LOL  I mean I had to kill time, right?  I didn’t want to get us to dinner too early.

Our friends were waiting for us and thanks to call ahead seating we only had a 15 minute wait.  Dinner was okay but the conversation and just being with our friends was the best part of the night. We both got to sit back, relax and not have to think about what’s next to work on at the house.  We got to have normalcy – even if it was for only a few hours, it still was normalcy.

Yeah… I’m so looking forward to a life of normalcy.  Someday…

With that, have one fantabulous week and enjoy this week’s Weekly Menu!
