These Weekly Menu recipes allow you to get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try some delicious and easy dishes! This week I highly recommend making the Frozen White Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Bark, the Mom’s Classic Stuffed Cabbage, and the Ultimate Pittsburgh Steak Wedgie!
Hey, hey, hey guys! Happy Sunday and all that jazz! Did you have a good week last week? Mine wasn’t too shabby. I mean I can’t do pretty much anything still and, sadly, I’m still in a good bit of pain but I try to make the most of it. Honestly, it’s been kind of nice having this “down-time” if you will as we found ourselves spending more quality time together.
It’s funny (or sad depending on how you look at it) that you literally spend 24/7 with someone and yet never really have quality time together. All we did/do was work here albeit the house, the grounds, or our multiple jobs. I mean we always said the “I love yous” and ate together, etc but we never really stopped and had us time.
However, with the house all done, the grounds only needing regular upkeep and my off work recovering, we’ve been really spending a lot of “us” time together. We’re cooking together (well he’s cooking, I’m just teaching him), laughing, snuggling and just unplugging the rest of the world. It’s just been awesome. I actually said to Mr. Fantabulous the other day while we were lying in bed watching My Cousin Vinny (that we’ve seen for the millionth time), “This is nice. I’ve missed you.” It’s kind of scary how everyday life can consume us so much that we often miss what’s in plain sight.
Taking Recipe Requests
Dare I say it buuuuuuuuut fall and winter are around the corner so with that I’m taking on recipe requests. I have a ton of dutch oven recipes as well as crock pot and instant pot. Soups are a huge part of our lives so definitely expect many soups and chili recipes. And with the hoidays, I want to share a bunch of cookie and decadent recipes. Also…pizza. Seriously, guys, I’ve actually thought about starting a sister company that focuses solely on pizza. What are your thoughts on that?
Do you guys make homemade pizza? If so, do you use your oven, grill or do you own a pizza oven?
