These Weekly Menu recipes allow you to get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try some delicious and easy dishes! This week I highly recommend making the Cucumber Ham Rollups, Italian Stuffed Shells, and the Skinny Chicken Salad Cups!
Happy Sunday TKW Family! I hope this finds you well! Things here are good busy but then that’s the norm.
We’ve been working on our naturally fed pond – removing duct weed and all other stuff that grows in it that shouldn’t. I do have a funny story though…
Lori vs. Nature
Anyone that knows me knows I don’t “do” nature. It’s beautiful but I’m not one to ever walk barefoot in the grass, do a nature hike (there are bugs and critters that can eat your face off), or go into the woods just because. I’m allergic to way too much stuff. I’d rather admire it from my porch TYVM. lol
As I mentioned, we had to get rid of the duckweed in our pond. Now our pond is pretty big ~ 4-5′ deep by about 30-40′ in an oval shape. So Mr. Fantabulous was in the pond wearing his hip waders while I was on the outside holding buckets for him to dump the duct weed in.
It was a bit past dusk so it was just on the edge of too hard to see (this is important). My job was to use my hand and grab the stuff off of the rake and put it into the buckets. This went on for about an hour and it started to get dark. Mr. Fantabulous said, “Just a couple more scoops and we can call it a night, k?”
So he brings up a big scoop and I grab it with my hand and squeeze to grab it off. I then hear a “SQUEAK!” and feel this “thing” squirm through my hands and fingers like a fat bar of soap. It squeaks again and I scream “OMG a fish!!!” only it wasn’t a fish…
It was a HUGE bullfrog! I had a friggen bullfrog IN MY HAND – my BARE HAND!!! I screamed/shrieked this shrill that the next county heard as the thing jumped down the rocks and back into the pond. I about had a coronary as Mr. Fantabulous was laughing so hard in the pond he almost drowned.
After that, I was done. I’ve disinfected my hand a million times because hello… this THING touched me! LOL
Yeah… I don’t do nature!
More Pizza Please!
I asked and you guys gave a resounding YES PLEASE! So many of you have asked for more pizza recipes on here so that’s what I intend to do! Last week I spent a lot of time working on some new pizza recipes. Did you catch the Bonus pizza recipe I posted on Instagram? Just a little ‘Za to entice you.
I’ve also been focusing more on my wood-fired pizza cooking skills in Bella, my Authentic Pizza Oven. Did you check out my post and video on how I walk you through curing a wood-fired pizza oven?
Videos
Have you guys noticed yet the videos I’ve been adding to recipes? Yep! I’m doing them on newer ones and then going back and making videos of my most popular recipes. They’ve been getting really great feedback so THANK YOU!
Did you make a recipe? Leave a blog comment!
So why do I ask this? Two reasons:
- Honest feedback is appreciated. It helps me learn and grow.
- Most folks read the comments first before they decide on making a recipe or not.
We all visit blogs looking for delicious items and inspiration. What I find (and you should as well) the MOST USEFUL thing is the comments that people leave. Honest feedback, good or bad but respectful please, on a recipe.
You can give suggestions on what you’d tweak or a spin you put on it. Heck or just tell me that you loved it! Like how to make vegan, keto, or not use mushrooms.
This is how I grow and become better on here and it gives you guys real feedback. The absolute most critical thing you can do for me is to leave a comment on the blog recipe post.
When I look at someone else’s recipe I read the comments as to me, that’s honest feedback. So when you make a recipe of mine or plan on making it, leave a comment on the post. I, and everyone else that goes to my site, truly would appreciate it!
