Happy Monday TKW Family! How was your week? Mine was well…almost deadly. No, literally it was. So if you recall I posted about how I hurt my hip and lower back the week prior. WELL…yours truly ended up being rushed into the ER and battled a life-threatening infection.
Battling a Life-Threatening Infection
Last Tuesday, after doing my PT exercises, I went to rest as my hip and lower back were hurting. I set my phone down, crawled under the covers and within seconds I began to shiver uncontrollably. Unfortunately, my phone wasn’t near me and Mr. Fantabulous was rehearsing in the studio which meant even if I yelled as loud as I could, he would have never heard me.
I laid there for 3 hours shivering to the point I thought I was going to pass out. Eventually, I found the strength to grab my phone and call Mr. Fantabulous. He ran in and rushed me to the ER.
There I spiked a 102.6 fever, wore a jacket in 110 temps, and still could not stop shivering. After a billion tests, they found that I had a blood, kidney, and bladder infection. Because of the blood infection, it turned into Sepsis. The Infectious Disease doctor said had I waited any longer to come in that I may not have made it.
4 days in the hospital, 5 billion gallons of fluid were pumped into me to flush out my kidneys and the most atrocious hospital food ever, they were able to catch the blood infection and sepsis in time.
Thankfully I came home Friday! I’m still pretty weak but I’m at least on the mend.
Did you make a recipe? Leave a blog comment!
So why do I ask this? Two reasons:
- Honest feedback is appreciated. It helps me learn and grow.
- Most folks read the comments first before they decide on making a recipe or not.
We all visit blogs looking for delicious items and inspiration. What I find (and you should as well) the MOST USEFUL thing is the comments that people leave honest feedback, good or bad but respectful please, on a recipe.
You can suggest what you’d tweak or a spin you put on it. Heck or tell me that you loved it! Like how to make vegan, keto, or not use mushrooms.
This is how I grow and become a better Chef. When you give honest feedback on the recipes you’ve made by following the instructions as written, that’s truly appreciated! The most critical thing you can do for me is to comment on the blog recipe post.
When I look at someone else’s recipe I read the comments as to me, that’s honest feedback. So when you make a recipe of mine or plan on making it, leave a comment on the post. I and everyone else who goes to my site would truly appreciate it!
