These Weekly Menu recipes help you break out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try some delicious, easy dishes!
Happy Monday, TKW Family! I hope you had a fantastic week last week! Mine was a whirlwind, to say the least, but in a good way. I had to go to NYC for a few days to meet with a potential new client. While there, I met a few other folks in my industry from around the world. We naturally grabbed some NY bagels and pizza, and then they took us out to see Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden. Granted, that’s not my type of music, but I still love going to concerts.
Thankfully, though, I’m always prepared for concerts; since Mr. Fantabulous has been on stages for decades, I’ve learned to carry earplugs with me at all times. More importantly, my eye didn’t bother me, as I was so worried that the flight might bother it. That being said, I swear the older I get, the worse my motion-induced vertigo gets. Well, technically it’s called “vestibular hypersensitivity,” where any abrupt momentum shifts affect me.
I’m a hot mess, and I keep telling Mr. Fantabulous to put me out to pasture. LOL Ah… isn’t it grand getting old?
I do have a question for you all: When you are online and see some type of post “Comment ‘something’ for the recipe”, what are your thoughts on it? If you did this, you’d get an automatic DM or email with the recipe link. Do you like it? Is it impersonal and too robotic?
I’m not a fan of it, BUT I know a bunch of you have asked for it. To me, it removes that personal human interaction. AI is already shoved down our throats; I’m kind of holding out against doing it just to keep that interaction. That being said, I do see a benefit as an end user, as it’s a way to “save” recipe links. I’m looking into it so it can first send you the recipe link, then ask if you have any questions, and then create an actual chat between you and me. This way you still get me, not AI, after the link is sent.
That being said, on socials I’d still offer both – meaning the “comment X for the recipe link” as well as posting it directly in the comments.
Did you make a recipe? Leave a blog comment!
So why do I ask this? Two reasons:
- Honest feedback is appreciated. It helps me learn and grow.
- Most folks read the comments before deciding whether to make a recipe.
This is how I grow and become a better Chef. I truly appreciate honest feedback on the recipes you’ve made by following the instructions as written! The most critical thing you can do for me is comment on the blog recipe post.
When I look at someone else’s recipe, I read the comments, and that’s honest feedback to me. So when you make one of my recipes, or plan to, leave a comment on the post. Everyone else who goes to my site, I would genuinely appreciate it!
