Happy Sunday TKW Family and Happy 4th of July weekend! For most of you it’s a long 3-day weekend full of cookouts, some libations, parties and maybe a parade or two. For us it’s a bit different. Sure we were invited places and part of me is bummed that we always have to decline (cause I feel it makes us look like the ‘bad friends’) but we’re so focused on this remodel that that comes first. Trust me I hear you guys on facebook telling me to slow down, enjoy life and we are but just our priorities are a bit different than most.
So let’s do a run down on this past week’s events. First we’re apparently now bearless – THANK YOU! It appears (or at least I’m really working hard at convince myself of this) that it’s migrated outsides the confines of our property. Then the granite counter top installers finally came (2 hours late) to install the sinks that they forgot. HOWEVER they *&^%$#@! (trust me, you do NOT want to writing the words I’m thinking right now) my brand new counters and now have come out and install new ones. I seriously am so furious I can’t even speak. When it’s done we’ll then look at compensation for the hell they’ve put us through. Did you ever get so mad that you literally can’t speak? Yeah that’s how I am with these folks.
We finally installed our island lights which are gorgeous. Now we’re going through a big “do you like this light bulb or this light bulb?” ordeal. We’ve literally bought 4 different types of light bulbs to try because we can’t make up our minds. LOL Today we’re installing the 4 can lights in the ceiling – well when I say “we” I really mean Mr. Fantabulous will do it. I just work around him and hand him tools. Today I also have 3 recipes I need to create for new clients plus recipes for the site, laundry (seriously it never does end does it), 3 posts and hopefully we have enough time where we can head over to our friends later tonight to hang out and have some fun times.
Before I hit publish I wanted to take a moment and say Thank You to all of the men, women and service animals that sacrifice of themselves to keep us safe and out of harms way. It’s because of you I have my freedom. God bless you and God bless America!
