Weekly Menu

Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Super Juicy Greek Turkey Burgers and Cheesy Spaghetti Squash Pizza and the Sheet Pan Savory Brown Sugar Pork Tenderloin with Hasselback Potatoes and Stuffed Mushrooms!

Happy Sunday TKW Family!  What an awesome week I had last week! I had a bit of client travel, I had free time to actually work on new recipes and Mr. Fantabulous’ band made their debut appearance! So last week I was fortunate enough to head up to Sacramento, PA to the Sterman Masser Potato Farms. There I met so many amazing people who work at this 8-generation farm. Two the generations were present for my visit and were an absolute delight to meet! There I was able to learn about the science behind growing the perfect potato and also what it takes for repeatable quality. Touring the farms and facilities I couldn’t help but watch the workers there. Every single one had a smile on their face and were happy to be there. That, honestly, is pretty rare. From the packers, to the folks on the line, to those that study the field every single one had a smile. To hear them talk about their work and how they are a part of the whole process you could hear the pride in their voices.

And of course there was food – LOTS OF AMAZING food! I was privileged enough to partake in the Masser family potato soup recipe that was really tasty! Very light broth with a subtle creaminess to it. Veggies and lots, and lots of potatoes were in that bowl of deliciousness! I’m kind of missing it today to be honest as it’s chilly here in the ‘burgh.  Fortunately for me they loaded me up with lots of their amazing potatoes as well as 2 bags of potatoes that we got to harvest the one morning! Yes, I got to play in dirt and loved it! They are the growers of Side Delights® potatoes which come in all types of packaging (Grillables™, Bakeables™, Steamables™, Roastables™, and so much more!) Definitely grab a few bags next time you’re at the store! They are simply the BEST POTATO!

What else? I got to work in the kitchen to play around with some upcoming client recipes. Sliders to pizza dough, cookies to sheet pan meals – I can’t wait! I also want to create yet another chili recipe. However I’m thinking of going a bit more one-bowl type method where it’s become more and more common to put chili over rice. I’m thinking of a recipe that cooks the chili and rice all in one.

Long live 80’s Metal!

Also, as I mentioned earlier Mr. Fantabulous’ band finally made their debut appearance last night. They are an 80’s metal band where spandex and Aqua Net were prominent. As a child of the 80’s this so made my day!  They are so incredibly talented and I’ve said for years that Mr. Fantabulous should have been a professional guitarist as he’s that amazing! AD Potatoes for days at @masserspuds Potato Farm! It was such an incredible time and great learning experience. Who knew that there was so much science behind growing a perfect potato!? But thanks to the hard work of Agronomist @curtater and his team they take care of all of that to ensure we are provided the best potato possible! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Meeting all of the amazing folks from Masser Potato Farms, Keystone Potato Product and Kathleen from Fresh Solutions Network and @sidedelights Potatoes was truly such an honor! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Understand where your food comes from and know the practices the company implements. These companies that I met have a strict and stringent code that they follow and uphold. They are grown with a conscience, with quality at the top of their list, with pride, with passion and most importantly, love! I’m “buzzing” 🐝 around the kitchen today in delight! I got a sweet delivery from @beesponsible honey! 🍯 is a key ingredient in so many of my recipes – whether it’s for a dessert or a savory dish (honey in Thai dishes is huge for me!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The hardest decision is which flavor to try first!
