Hey TKW Family! Happy Sunday! Man what a week it was for us. You want to talk about burning the candle at both ends folks – geez! So Mr. Fantabulous set this <unrealistic but some how we did it> goal to have the house ready for the agent to get all the photos done in like 2 weeks (which mean yesterday). He put in 18 hour days on the house cleaning up the last bit of crap, I worked my day job, tkw and the house. He’d get up at 4am and work non-stop til 10 or so at night. I’d get up at maybe 6/7 and work until 1-2am. Every single day we did that just so meet the Thursday deadline when the drone guy and videographer would be here.
Fortunately by Thursday we had 99.9% of the stuff done (thank God they weren’t shooting the garages! lol). The only thing the agents said that, if we had time, was to repaint 2 of the bathrooms (even though we already painted them though it was a fugly color I didn’t like). Yeah… we did that today… ugh. The photographer was due to arrive on Friday but sadly it rained. He’s supposed to come tomorrow but looking at our forecast it’s supposed to rain all week. Eek!
The agents kept saying that we should have no problem selling but who knows really. Maybe they say that to all the clients *shrugs*. It’s sad in a way that we busted our butts for 9 long years on this remodel only to sell it but honestly I need to start over, somewhere new. All I know is whomever buys our house will seriously be in heaven as it truly is the perfect estate.
So yeah, as I mentioned I *thought* we were all done painting but we ended repainting the 2 bathrooms … and the 2 doors on the shed and the T-11 boards on the gym. I think Mr. Fantabulous said we’ve used 83 gallons of paint on this entire house! And if this helps you envision on how big the house is, 80 gallons were on the inside only! Yes… the house is that big. Oh wait, I forgot about the 3 gallons of stain too for the decks.
I seriously am done. I never EVER want to go through this again. It was pure hell. I’d say once we list it we really have 2 hurdles – actually selling it and then, once it’s sold – moving. That parts scares me as, even though we’ve donated tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff, we still have so much… stuff. I mean our lives are anything but typical. He owns his own company so he also has all of his equipment. I work a ft job and have my own company which means I HAVE A LOT OF STUFF for it. A LOT folks! I’ve already threatened Mr. Fantabulous that when we move we WILL hire someone to move us. OMG no way in hell am I moving all that bedroom furniture again. 4 full complete sets of solid cherry. Stuff weighs a ton!
Oh… many have asked to see pictures of the finished house. I’m working on that now. I know the drone guy will be creating a video (he did outside and inside) plus they had a 360 camera inside the house too. Plus I’ll make one and post it though more than likely it’ll be on my Instagram IGTV channel. Actually there is one there now to view of our Pool House.

Back to Normalcy?
I’m praying (for all of our sakes) that this house does get listed next week and that I can go back to having a quasi-normal life. Oh sure I’ll still work 2 full time jobs but that’s normal for me. BUT it means I can get back into the kitchen and post more recipes. You guys have been so patient and understanding with me these past few months and this house. I truly cannot say thank you enough for standing by and supporting me.
Also with the house on the market my chubby butt can get back to the gym. God you have no idea how much I miss working out and spinning. God I miss spinning. We were actually talking about that the other day – ‘Honey what do regular people do? Can we do what they do once the house is listed?” I assume regular people work, go to the gym, enjoy time with friends, actually sit on the couch and watch a movie and MAYBE paint something once a year. LOL

I shared a really delicious and quick Chicken Parmesan Pasta Casserole recipe. It’s so easy and a great way to use up leftovers!
When you have leftover chicken and marinara an easy dish to make is a Penne Chicken Parmesan Bake! Use my cheese recipe from my stuffed shells recipe on my blog and add that to cooked Penne. Sauce, Penne, cheese mixture, chopped chicken. Repeat. Cover tightly with foul and bake at 350f for 25 minutes. Remove the foil, add more cheese and bake for 10 minutes.
