Happy Sunday TKW Family! How was your week? Mine was spent being nursemaid to my darling, sick husband.
The Flu
“Yes, you have the flu”, is what our PCP told us when I took Mr. Fantabulous to the doctors last week. The drummer in his band sent a text the morning after their practice saying that he testing positive for the flu while profusely apologizing to them.
After getting the text Mr. Fantabulous went to google to see how long the incubation period is. 24-48 hours. Lovely. I figured he got the flu shot (I didn’t) that he’d be ok. NOPE! Later that day he started complaining that he had a headache and feverish. That he was going to take a nap.
The man NEVER naps. Ever!
As the night progressed I had a feeling he was getting sick but didn’t imagine it would be the flu. I thoughts perhaps a bad cold.
Nope!
I was woken up at 7:30 am by this aggressive pounding on the bedroom wall (he slept in the other bedroom in case he was getting sick). I jumped out of bed like my butt was on fire and ran to the other room. There, I saw him looking like death warmed over, sweaty, pale and shaking his hands and head to not come in. He pointed to his phone.
“Have a fever, body aches, sweats, chills, need doctor asap!”
To the doctor’s office, we went, wearing masks. After telling the doc that the guy tested positive, he said he didn’t need to run the flu test but that he could tell right away Mr. Fantabulous had the flu. So he’s been in bed since Tuesday. He’s on that Tamiflu but still so achy and just crappy feeling. Thankfully he’s been sleeping a lot.
And I’m still wearing my mask…
Did you make a recipe? Leave a blog comment!
We all visit blogs looking for delicious items and inspiration. What I find (and you should as well) the MOST USEFUL thing is the comments that people leave. Honest feedback, good or bad but respectful please, on a recipe.
You can give suggestions on what you’d tweak or a spin you put on it. Heck or just tell me that you loved it! Like how to make vegan, keto or not use mushrooms.
This is how I grow and become better on here and it gives you guys real feedback. The absolute most critical thing you can do for me is to leave a comment on the blog recipe post.
When I look at someone else’s recipe I read the comments as to me, that’s honest feedback. So when you make a recipe of mine or plan on making it, leave a comment on the post. I, and everyone else that goes to my site, truly would appreciate it!
