Caramel Infused Apple Cheddar Chicken Burgers

You think you’ve seen it all when it comes to burgers?!  HA!  I’m about to blow your mind and rock your taste buds with this Caramel Infused Apple Cheddar Chicken Burger. It has Caramel Creams® caramel sauce IN THE BURGER (and on top!). Prepare for deliciousness!

This post is being sponsored by Goetze’s Candy Company featuring their Caramel Creams® candies (which are seriously one of the best candies on the face of the planet!).  All opinions of these ABSOLUTELY AMAZING candies are mine.

OMG guys do I have a life-changing burger for you today. Yeah I know, another burger recipe. There are 4 trillion recipes out there but this one, this one here folks is ridiculous. This one here is a game changer. This burger just showed up to your cookout, kicked everything off the grill and said: “No, I’M THE KING OF BURGERS now beat it punk!” Yah, it’s THAT GOOD!  So let me dish for a few about this burger – it has candy IN THE BURGER. Yes, you read that right…

Caramel Creams®. In. The. Burger

Just let that soak in for a second. I took one of my absolute favorite candies and put it in a burger. I know, only I would push candy and burgers to a limit like that. You’re welcome. When I tell you this is honestly my all time favorite burger, believe it. It’s super juicy, savory and sweet and full of flavors.

Carmel Infused Apple Cheddar Chicken Burgers made with Caramel Creams®

So how did this all come about?  About 6 months ago when I was work, one of my co-workers asked if I wanted to talk a walk and get a snack from our little luncheon room. From the vending machine, he ended up getting a package of Caramel Creams®. As he opened the package I smiled as these candies were my Dad’s favorite. My friend offered me one as we walked back to our desks. As I unwrapped mine and popped it in my mouth something happened as I kind of zoned out for a bit. You see that little candy brought back so many childhood memories I shared with my Dad.

Elevate your burger game to a whole new level of deliciousness!

Veggie Sweet Potato Garden Burgers

Whether you’re a veggie-loving beast or full on meat-craving carnivore these Veggie Sweet Potato Garden Burgers will definitely please! Meatless Monday never tasted so delicious!

Veggie burgers are not a ‘new’ thing yet in the past 3 or so years they’ve become a menu regular. Heck, there are some restaurants that only serve veggie burgers. It’s funny how I actually more often will order a veggie burger than a regular burger these days. I’m not a vegetarian and still love meat but there’s just something intriguing about these things. You wouldn’t expect a veggie burger to be juicy or packed with so much flavor yet they are.

I mean just look at my Chunky Portabello veggie burger. That single burger recipe has bridged the gap between salad heads and meat beasts; both teams love them. Vegetarians absolutely love the fact that you have a burger that is hearty, packed with a bajillion veggies and that is seriously the “best damn veggie burger” out there. And meat lovers…don’t get me started!  Their minds are blown by the fact that they are eating a burger that tastes so much like beef (or a real burger as they’d say) but is made with all veggies. I mean I had some guy argue til he was blue in the face that there was no way anyone could make a veggie burger taste delicious let alone tastes like a ‘real burger’. One bite and I shut him up.

Now before I go any further I should disclose that there is one person that doesn’t like this – Mr. Fantabulous. He doesn’t quite “get” the whole non-meat thing and swears if I try to turn him vegetarian he’s moving out.  For him, honestly, it’s a textural thing I thing as most veggie burgers are a tad more ‘creamy’ in the center. Sure you’ll have chunks of veggies but you never get that same texture as you would with meat. Challenge for me? Perhaps but honestly it’s not that big of a deal and hey if he doesn’t like it, it’s just more for me.

Get your deliciousness on!

Classic Monte Cristo

You’ve not had an amazing grilled cheese sandwich until you’ve made this Monte Cristo!  Layers of salty ham, luscious gruyere cheese, tangy dijon mustard and sweet raspberry preserves dipped in this French toast mixture and then grilled to perfection!

I have a confession…

*hangs her head*

I’ve been holding out on you.  <deep sigh>  This recipe I made about a year ago *ducks to miss the shoe that someone just threw at me*. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry. For the past year I kept saying to myself “You have to post that sandwich. You need to get your butt in gear and post this. People will flip over it!” But I didn’t listen. Honestly there is no real reason why held out on sharing this.  Monte Cristo sandwiches aren’t a new thing but for some reason I posted everything but this. Like we’re talking recipes I literally just created, took the photos the same day and posted the recipe the next day.

I suck, I know.. but you still love me… right???

And I guess while I’m treating this like church, I might as well confess one more thing.  Mr. Fantabulous does not like this but he does not hate it either.  What that means is he refused to try it; not even a single bite. He said and I’m quoting here “That is NOT French Toast, that is NOT Grilled Cheese.  That is a Frankenstein concoction that I will not be a part of.”  Frankenstein?  I didn’t exactly create a monster here dude.  LOL big baby!
I’m telling you, make this once and you’ll be making this a thousand more times because you’ll fall in love with it!

Thanksgiving Gobbler Rolls

These Thanksgiving Gobbler Rolls are seriously the most DELICIOUS way to transform those Thanksgiving leftovers into something truly mouth-watering! A tender sweet roll dough packed with mashed potatoes, corn, roasted turkey and stuffing topped with “gravy” icing and cranberry relish garnish!

Question – what’s your favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal?  Is the eating it when it’s straight out of the oven with your loved ones all around?  Or is it that 2am fridge raid for those cold turkey sandwiches?  Or what about leftovers the next day – or as my Mom would call it “Thanksgiving #2”? For me it’s all of them but honestly I’d have to say my all time favorite is how I get to revamp those leftovers into something incredible. You’ve seen my Gobbler Wrap and Gobbler Pizza. However I have to be honest guys, this recipe today… it’s something special.  Like if I had to choose between this and my gobbler pizza, this will win out  And you all know how much I LOOOOOOOOVE pizza.  But this, dear God people it’s literally everything you would expect how a cinnamon roll would be BUT instead of sweet it’s full-on savory Thanksgiving-fied!

So did you survive Thanksgiving yesterday? Hopefully no family squabbles, dry birds or failed desserts.  Growing up Thanksgiving was a big deal in my house; hell any day where there was a huge feast was a big day. But for us Thanksgiving is where Mom would cook for days, pies upon pies, and people coming in and out of the house all day long. Our main meal was at 2pm, 3pm if Mom was making a backup meal.  Yes you read that right, back up meal.

Transform those Thanksgiving leftovers into something truly spectacular!

Zucchini Ricotta Veggie Burgers

Veggies burger are part of the “norm” and rightly so.  They are delicious, hearty and can stack up to your traditional burgers.  These Zucchini Ricotta Veggie burgers are juicy, hearty and perfect for you meat-free meals!

Are you a burger purist?  Do you insist that a burger is comprised of beef and nothing else?  Do you scoff at the thought of a chicken or turkey burger?  Does the mention of a veggie burger make you shudder in pure disdain? Well this post isn’t for you. However I think you’re a fool to skip past this post and recipe.  I kid you not; you’re seriously missing out on something truly incredible and delicious.  Be a rebel here. Be like those folks that decided to try salted caramel or candied bacon.

It’s funny as growing up veggies were my nemesis.  I would turn my nose up at the thought of eating zucchini.  I was all about the beef (’bout that beef, ’bout that beef.. sorry was channeling Meghan Trainor there for a minute). I was one of those burger snobs.  Burgers had to beef and nothing else.
Be a Burger Rebel and make these delicious burgers!
