Top Loved Recipes of 2017

You liked. You shared. You tagged. You Instagrammed. You tweeted. These are the top loved recipes of 2017 that YOU loved the most!

This is one of those posts that always brings a smile to my face and honestly, helps me more than you’ll ever know. This gives me an idea on what you guys are and are not into. I get insight on what types of recipes you want to see and maybe less of ones that you don’t. I have a TON of recipes for 2018 already – yes, even 1 day into the year and a bunch of ideas for new recipes thanks to looking at these results.  My notes include:

♥ More Pressure Cooker recipes
♥ More Sheet Pan Recipes
♥ Dear Lord woman, give us more pizza recipes (loved that request!)
♥ More family-style meals and healthy weekly meal prep ideas

Got it and that’s what I plan on doing!

Last year was SUCH a fun year for me. I started working with a bunch of new clients while creating even more deliciousness with those that have been with me since the beginning. I wish you guys could see my notebooks of recipes that I still have yet to share. I literally have enough written up (and most photos taken) to issue a cookbook. Speaking of… yes, I really, REALLY want to do that but I need a publisher for that as I’m not sure how to go about doing it myself. So if you’re in the business or have connections, let’s work together!
Farewell to 2017 and let’s EAT in 2018!

Weekly Menu

Get out of that same ol’ recipe rut and try one of these delicious and easy recipes this week! This week I highly recommend making the Pressure Cooker Mom’s Classic Pot Roast with Savory Onion Gravy and the New Year’s Eve Best Ever Pork Roast and Sauerkraut!

Santa’s coming, Santa’s coming, Santa’s coming!!! I don’t care what age I am, I still become that 4-year-old little girl at Christmas who giggles at the sight of Santa, leaves cookies and milk out for him and plans her evenings around what Christmas shows are on. I can remember when I was little it was a big deal when the Christmas shows were on. We’d have an early dinner, our home work would be done, baths were had and jammies were on. As soon as 8pm hit, we’d all gather around our console television and watch the classics.  Nowadays we have DVRs, blue-rays and “on demand” but there’s just something a bit more magical about watching it on ‘live’ tv with the rest of the world.

So how many of you are Christmas eve shoppers? Hey don’t fret it – I do it but not for presents. 99.9% of the time I’m that girl at the grocery store who ran out of milk, butter or something important needed for dinner. I actually went to Kohl’s yesterday and was surprised that it was pretty empty. I went in, grabbed what I needed and didn’t wait in line at all. Odd, I know!

This past week I was pretty much down for the count the first 4 days. I had a nasty, nasty head cold/sinus infection that was so bad I actually went to see my dentist as I thought I cracked a root. Thankfully the chompers are all ok and here the pain I was feeling was called “referred” pain thanks to the lovely sinus infection. But what’s odd is that I lost my voice for 2 days. Oh trust me, Mr. Fantabulous wasn’t complaining too much lol

Are you on the naughty or nice list?

Memorial Day 2016 Dishes

With the majority of us having a long 3-day weekend, 4 if you’re like me and actually took a vacation day, parties and cookouts will be abundant. While I love me a traditional cookout with burgers and dogs (though my dog has to be burnt) I like to mix things up and have different foods.  You just get tired of the same ol’ same ol’. This year when you’re planning your menu break out a few of these killer cookout recipes below!  Some can be prepared ahead of time, some can be made right on the grill.  Heck some can be made in the pressure cooker and then just heated up the day of the party!  SCORE!  More time to actually enjoy your own party versus standing over a stove or bbq all day.  Even I who LOVES being in the kitchen and cooking does enjoy a party where I don’t have to stand there cooking all day.

Let’s dish first about my latest Man Candy recipes – S’mores!  Yeah I know, dude!  SMORE’S!  It’s crispy bacon that’s coated in chocolate, broiled marshmallows and then graham cracker crumbs.  This is a total game changer when it comes to your campfire smore’s!  Next those addictive Butterfinger cookies.  These cookies are chewy, chocolately (is that even a real word?) and loaded with Butterfinger bits.  You will not be able to stop at just one! And next we have those Asian Sticky Ginger Thighs.  OMG they are INSANE!  And all done in the pressure cooker!  So yeah you could totally make them ahead of time and instead of broiling them to get that nice char just pop them on the grill to get that real bbq char look and taste!
Memorial Day 2016

The most important thing is to remember Memorial day isn’t about the food but rather the men and women serving our country!

Day 15 – Countdown to Christmas 2014 Festive Food Favorites

Now’s the time of year when it seems we’re busier than normal. End of the year rushes at work, a million and one errands, umpteen trips to the stores, driving around parking lots to find the perfect spot, cleaning the house (for company), decorating the house and tree, helping Santa warp presents, cooking a billion and one things, Christmas shows at school, school dances, holiday traffic, holiday office parties and a boat load of family and friends holidays parties.  And for all of those parties you have to make something.  And if you’re like me you can’t make the same thing and take it to all of the parties.  I can’t as 90% of the parties I go to, we all go to so we always want new and exciting.

Well here’s my top 16 Festive Food Favorites of 2014 that will make you the hit of those holiday parties.  Impress your coworkers and wow the inlaws with your amazing cooking and baking skills.  None of these are too hard but they all are packed with flavor.

So let’s get into the holiday spirit and fill up our bellies with some amazingly delicious foods!

It should be called ‘Stretch Pants Season!’

Sweet Potato Cookie Bars

So ever since I really gave Sweet Potatoes a chance and realized they didn’t suck I kinda have been hooked on ’em.  For me it was taking a simple baked sweet potato and TKWing it up.  By adding honey and roasted grapes I took something that I thought was icky into something that was simply amazing!  I made the sweet potato classy and elegant with that dish. Like clockwork every week I bake 4-6 of them for us to have during the week. Hands down the BEST way to make Sweet Potatoes are to bake them.  There is just something magical about a crispy skinned potato and that tender, almost creamy, inside.  Mr. Fantabulous loves his with brown sugar, cinnamon and just a hint of butter.  For me I find that too sweet so that’s why I go with the roasted grapes and honey.

Well one week I found that we just weren’t eating them up like we normally do and since you know how I abhor wasting food I NEEDED to come up with some way to use the baked potatoes. Sure I could have gone with one of my sweet potato casseroles, but I had been craving something dessert-ish.  Mr. Fantabulous could tell I was in thinking mode as while we were eating dinner I wasn’t really paying attention and I was kinda looking up and to the left (apparently I do this when I’m in deep thought) *shrugs*.
